Head set my head set won't work on my nokia 2610. I can't hear the person speak and uping the volume does not work my headset is 2.5

• Headset is muted. Long press (3 sec.) the volume down button on headset to unmute the microphone. See page 16.
• Improper positioning of voice tube. Try various other positions.
• Voice tube may be clogged. Remove voice tube and test to see if callers can hear you without it. If they can, then replace the clogged voice tube. See page 18.
• Speaking volume is too low. Increase the speaking volume by
adjusting the speaking volume minor adjust buttons on the base unit as described on page 16. If the volume is still too low, select another speaking volume major adjust setting as described on page 16.
• Incorrect configuration dial setting for your phone. Try other
phone configuration dial settings on the base unit. Ensure the
selected number is in line with the position indicator. See page 14.

If you cannot hear the other person then, your the speaker may not configured inSkype.
To configure thespeaker - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings - Speakers select your audio card, check the volume slider THEN click on Save.

Put the volume button maximum while you talk.That is make volume maximum by sliding the volume button on the right side to maximum.

it only shows when you connect a head set to your phone check wether you have connected the head set properly it mainly cause due to losse connection in the head set port

Echo is usually caused by the transmit (speak) level on the unit being set too high.

1. First, try lowering the volume of the telephone. If you still hear an echo, adjust the volume of the headset itself.

2. The master transmit controls of the headset are the ABCD switch settings on the bottom of the base. A is the lowest and D is the highest setting.

3. You can fine tune this setting with the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on the back of the charging base.

4. If this doesn't fix the echo, try moving the configuration dial on the left side of the charging base. The recommended setting for most phones is 1.

Transmit volume adjustment
Adjust the volume of transmitted sound according to personal preference.
To adjust the volume:
1. Make a telephone call and ask the person you are calling to assist
you.
2. Press the +/– buttons on the headset simultaneously for 2 seconds.
A beep will indicate when 2 seconds has passed.
3. Adjust the volume level by pressing the + or – button.
4. When the person you are speaking with fi nds the volume of your
voice appropriate, press the +/– buttons simultaneously for 2
seconds. This setting is now stored in the headset.

my suggestion is that you just buy another headset or did you just buy the xbox 360. i'm only saying this because my friend has the same problem and he took my advice

WELL you place the call press send wait for connection and then use the up arrow to contro volume...sound simple well it took us a heck of a long time to figure this out HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU
