Reason : The reason many systems start running slow as more programs are installed is because many operating systems start unnecessary programs(or services as the case may be) while the computer starts. The best example of this is starting the Printer and/or Wireless service even when we may not use/have a printer &/or wireless

Solution : As i am acquainted with only Windows and Linux i can provide help on those.

1. In Windows XP/Vista/7/8
go to start menu right click my computer-> Manage-> services and applications -> services. <Caution>
2. Google the service names on Internet and see if they are needed by your system
3. Mostly people without printers can stop permanently the printer service (spoolsv.exe) service (u can start this when needed).
4. Stop all the unnecessary processes permanently.
5. start the processes if required by some programs.

For Linux go to system monitor and do the same as above.

P.S.
In windows use antivirus such as avast(takes only two minutes to update and does not hog the computer down) along with a firewall such as ZoneAlarm(beginners) or Comodo (for advanced users)
these will keep the pc running free of viruses and malicious programs.
Use ccleaner to get rid of unwanted files.
Regularly defragment drives with tools such as Ultradefrag or Defraggler.

P.P.S. All these files for windows are regularly available for download with updates at www.filehippo.com.

You are Welcome.

Well, if possible, try upgrade hardware configuration such as add more RAM etc to your Dell. If you don't want that, then try the software Dell speed up to diagnose the for issues and clean it up easily. Regards.

Hi.

The laptop seems to have a problem with explorer not loading properly (this is the program which loads up the taskbar, icons etc)

Hold down Ctrl, Alt and press the delete key. Dependent on the operating system it will either go to list or load up Task Manager, ether way you need Task Manager.

When Task Manager loads up in the top left corner of the window you will see File, click on that and select New Task (run), click on that and in the box type explorer and click OK, The desktop should now load up.

After that make sure you perform a system restore by clicking on the start menu, accessories, system tools, system restore and take the laptop back to a time before this happened.

Regards.

My dell latitude d610 ac power is work is properly but battrey is not charging plz tell me soulition.

If the D610 works when attached to the AC Power Cord, it is likely that your battery is not capable of taking a charge and needs to be replaced. I have 2 D610 Dell Latitudes and they are very good laptops.
