Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
We could not get any sound out of the RGB and audio connection with our Dell Dimension 4600 desktop when we hooked it up to a brand new Vizio LCD TV. My work laptop (also a Dell) worked beautifully with the Vizio, but the desktop won't playback any sound whatsoever. We've tried the basic headphone jack for a CD playback on the Dimension and now it isn't working either. Could this be a sound card problem?
You have to hook up the 1/4 headphone jack plug to the TV, from the computer. an Y audio cable with RCA plug (male) with headphone 1/4 male plug. hook the headphone jack to the green hole of the computer(sound out) to the audio input of the TV better yet to a stereo AUX port. also make sure the mute button hasnt been pressed.
