Normal 0 If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all.
OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

You need to have the Alternator tested, the battery symbol indicates the system voltage is low. The other problems are due to the low voltage.

There is an energy save setting on your controls. Turn that off if you don't want tv to keep turning off while you are changing inputs. Hope this helps.

Cut battery off

If it is plugged in, and still running from the battery, you likely have a bad adapter or power jack. If you have a multimeter, set it in a range that would display 16v dc voltage, then stick the red inside the plug from the adapter, and touch the black to the outside of the plug, and see if the voltage registers (most IBM laptops use 16 volt adapters).
