Question about Cameras

1 Answer

Hi there. For my Panansonic Lumix DMC-FT2 digital camera the capture button does not work except for the on/off button which takes a photo when it turns on. I can get the other buttons to work by pressing the REC button on then off, then the other buttons work.

LCD woont turn on properly but the camera takes pictures while the screen remains black or in my case dark grey as its not totally black.

The water has ruined the LCD, water and electronics seldom mix, you are lucky it still will at least take pictures. If it is a high end model then send it back to the Factory repair center listed in the user manual (or phone number to find a repair center).

Hi There - this may sound like a dumb question i've just brought the Lumix DMC-FT2 Camera and I can't seem to upload any photo's to my Mac. I have the leads in place but nothing displays on my MAC. What is...

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Camera problem

I have a Lumix DMC-TZ1 and my camera is having simular problems. The camera turns on but the buttons don't work. I can not zoom or take pictures. I can turn the auto stabilizing on and can change photo modes by turning the nob. But the menu button, nav buttons are not doing anything. The screen goes on and everything. I have tried removing the battery and nothing happens.

Continuous or fast photo captures

Pics are about 2 per second. If action is fast, like downhill snowboarding, then may not be fast enough for you. Use MOVie mode at 640 by 480. Not bad.
