Question about Singer 5050 Mechanical Sewing Machine
I had this happen once and it was the needle shaft was slightly bent, (after loaning it to a relative) but yours may just be in need of oiling and working the needle shaft back and forth by hand. Another thing to try, take a hair dryer and heat all of the moving parts. Hopefully, this will work for you. Otherwise, it may be the timing, and you need a professional to look at it.
