How do I replace a motorcraft electronic regulator with this one.. wires on the motorcraft regulator marked I ' A' S ' F I am assuming "ignition" Alternator output ' Stator" Field"

Power window not working


First, do you have power to the switch? If not check fuse and wiring. If yes, is switch passing power to motor? If yes but no movement, replace motor.

On that big 7.5 liter engine, .042-.046 stock; if hotter cam go .046-.050 and make sure ignition is in good shape. preferrably aftermarket coil at least or ign box set up.

First confirm power to the switch - check fuse & wiring. Is switch passing power to the motor? If so, replace motor, or at least try and get it moving...

Did you also replace the motor? If not, test operation of the motor when the switch is activated. Is the motor getting voltage when you activate the switch? If not, correct the bad wiring condition. If all parts are operating correctly but the window still does not go down, the window has become jammed in its track. (There are no other parts to the power window assembly.)

How to replace a drivers side window regulator & motor


Not as complicated as it sounds. First you have to remove inside door handle, usually a couple of hidden screws. Then, you need a thin trim removal tool or stiff putty knife to slip under the edges of the inside door panel. As you slide it around the perimeter, you should run into a number of pop fasteners. Just twist your knife and they should release. Unplug your control switch and remove plastic vapour barrier to access ports in the door frame. Assuming window does not operate, you may have to fiddle around a bit to disengage the motor/regulator ... There is always a way. Assembly is just the reverse.

Could be as simple as bulbs died. Second I would check if lights have good grounding (these things tend to corrode over time. Usually black wire and have connection to vehicle's chassis). Or could be broken wire/shorted wire.

Hi Anonymous, correct wiring from voltage regulator is:
1. Green wire goes to "F" on generator.
2. Red wire goes to "A" on generator
3. Black/Tan wire goes to power side of ignition switch

I GOT A CODE P-0304 NOT FIRING change spark plugs and wires car ran for about therr weeks code can back car runs rough again what should I DO ?


What kind of plugs and wires did you put in? What engine do you have? If it's the V6, these engines are sensitive to the entire ignition system - use Motocraft only, and you shouldn't have any more problems, assuming there's no other problems anywhere. If you find you need an ignition coil block, do NOY use one of the cheal aftermarket replacements! Spend the bucks to get a Motorcraft.

My truck starts then runs for around six minutes well missing and backfireing, then it shuts off and i cant get it started again for a couple hours. if i give it to much throutle it kills the motor also....


replace the TFI ignition module (mounted on the outside of the distributor) and the distruibutor pickup ( inside the distributor) and the problem will go away, I would also replace the coil if it is orignal.
