Hi tmomonet, did you install you're PCI-E video card in the correct slot? Open you're manual to page 2-18. Once you have gone over that part of you're manual you will need to enter the bios to check some settings so you're video card boots with the system. (Please make sure you're PCI-E video card is installed fully into the PCI-E blue slot). (Some PCI-E cards also need extra power, if youre's does it will have a power connector on the rear of the card).
Once into the bios, open you're manual to page 4-20. Open PCIPnP. Than go to page 4-26. At the bottom of the page you will see, Primary Display Adapter. Change to PCI-E & not to PCI.
Save & exit the bios. You should gain video display. Once windows finishes loading, install your video card software.

Good Luck!
Mike

Gigabyte K8vm800M Motherboard Does Not Recognise Seagate SATA HDD

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE PAST. I REPLACE THE IDE HDD WITH SATA AND AFTER I BOOT IT SAYS NO HARDDISK. IT IS BECAUSE WINDOWS XP HAS NO BUILT IN SATA DRIVER.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS CHANGE YOUR HARDDISK TO IDE OR INTEGRATE A SATA DRIVER INTO YOUR XP (USE NLITE) OR USE THE FLOPPY DRIVE TO RUN SATA DRIVER ITS INCLUDED IN THE MOBO WHEN BUYING.

Major help needed

hi jtiker,

if you have replaced all the parts mentioned above then you will need to reinstall windows as it will try to use drivers from the old windows and create more problems for you.

go to the bios and set it to boot from the dvdrom first then reinstall windows.

your only other choice is to boot in safe mode and try to reinstall the mobo drivers....not recommended though

good luck

Boot error / No video out

Ajit,

The beeps are usually due to RAM or key board issues.

I would try by plugging it into a VGA socket of a monitor to see if it works.

Do you have heat problems? one suggestion is to try and reset the bios to default by moving the jumper on the mobo to do a hard reset.

good luck

Maybe a silly question to ask; but did you connect the processor power lead, as unlike some processors this needs a seperate supply.
