Regza 42" In my choices of picture sizes all are available except "full", I can get theater wide, native, natural etc. I want full though. I am hooked up to comcast cable and the TV works great but in non HD programming I kind of have to use theater wide. Thanks in advance

The picture onmy screen is showing up liek a 27 inch buti have a 42 inch tv

Hello nadine hensl,
there should be a picture size on your toshiba remote. Click on it and go to natural mode or any other mode. Play around with it to see which you like best. Hope this helps, good luck.

Picture size does not work

Unplug the power cord for about an hour or more and provide supply to the tv .

At times the power supply can cause this problem .

If you have any substances generating EM waves in and around tv remove it .

How to widen the screen from a wide screen to full screen

On your remote you should find a "Format", "Picture Size", or similar button. This should "scroll" through the choices as you press it.

If there is not a button on the remote, access the user menu and look in "setup" and find "Picture size" or "Format" or the like and change it there.

Hope this helps!

Full tv screen is not being diplayed horzontally.

First thing to check is the picture size. You can view many program formats in a variety of picture sizes
  1. Natural
  2. TheaterWide 1
  3. TheaterWide 2
  4. TheaterWide 3
  5. Full
  6. 4:3 HD
  7. Native
  8. Dot by Dot.
The format of the image will vary depending on the format of the signal you are currently watching from you cable or satellite provider. Select the picture size that displays the current program the way that looks best to you.

To select the picture size using the remote control:
  1. Press I on the remote control.
  2. While the Picture Size screen is open, you can do one of the following to select your desired picture size:
• Repeatedly press I.
• Press the corresponding Number button (0–6) while the Picture Size screen is open.
• Press B or b while the Picture Size screen is open.

To select the picture size using the menus:
  1. Select Picture Size in the Theater Settings menu.
  2. Press C or c to select the desired picture size setting.
  3. Highlight Done and press T.
Some of the picture sizes may not be available depending on the receiving signal format from your cable or satellite provider (those will be “grayed out” in the Picture Size screen).

Second thing to check is the Native Mode which restores the size of the picture by the 3-5% that is generally lost during the normal over scanning that occurs on traditional sets. It also avoids unnecessary scaling of 1920 x 1080 HD signals. I hope this helps and good luck!

Picture won't change sizes

If you are using a cable box, the settings you want are in the setting menu under "format" or "display" . Typically the choices are Normal or stretch, Select stretch.
The "small picture is how the old NTSC format displays in "normal mode" on a High definition set.
While you are in the settings menu, you might want to verify that the box is set to output at least 720P if not 1080i.

Cannot set screen width

Both the TV and the Cable box have Aspect(height/width) settings. You must confirme the setting on the cable box and then do the TV.

1. Set TV to Native, this should show image exactly as the cable box sends it.
2. change Aspect settings on the cable box until you get one that works
3. if you get a good one, then your OK. You will just need to find a setting between the 2 devices that work for you. Also, these settings may change automatically for the TV or cable box based on the channel
