Question about Garden

2 Answers

I have a Husky/Courage XT-7 Pressure Washer 2600 P.S.I. I turn the water on and it comes out of the chemical injector tube, even after starting. If i pull the trigger it pulls through the injector but it seems like it's not engaging. When I let off the trigger it shoots back out the injector. The idle never changes.

The last expert/wiz did not have a clue as to solve the problem of the pump not engaging nor why water is shooting back out of the chemical injector. I've used a dozen different p. washers and have never seen a way to turn an injector on or off. It will only pull when the pressure is low that when working properly which mine is not. The check valve is stuck open. If you remove the brass hose barb that the chemical hose connects too, (being careful of the small parts that will come out.) you will find a small metal marble, and a spring. Either the ball or the spring may either be damaged or stuck. If it is stuck, you will see sediment like limescale or rust. clean it. You can take the barb, spring and marble and put it in a cup of CLR and it will remove all the sediment. Replace the barb. It goes, Barb, marble spring. Meaning, put the marble in the barb, then the spring, and then screw that into the machine.

If the spring is broken, or the ball is damaged, i.g. some what flat on one side, then you will need to get a replacement. You can find repair parts on http://www.mastertoolrepair.com/-c-630_632.html?gclid=CO2Wmcaq16QCFVB95QodW0T9LA I would replace the barb ball and spring.

If when you take the barb off, there is no ball or spring, then that is why it is coming out the soap hose, and you need to purchase it and put it in the barb.

This should solve the problem.

Hello

Make sure the injection tube is securely inserted into the unit If this is not the problem, switch to a lower-pressure nozzle. Make sure the injector is turned off.

Check that the connection between the water hose and the water inlet on the pressure washer is properly connected. Reconnect, if necessary.

Check to make sure there isn't an additional water hose gasket in the water inlet to the machine. Remove it if necessary.

Check to see if the screen on the water inlet is clogged. Clean it if necessary. Squeeze the pressure washer gun trigger to check for water flow. If water flows through the pressure washer, turn on the machine.

No pressure on my husky power washer 1650

Basic Issues As an electric-powered washer, a circuit overload may cause your Husky 1600 to shut down or prevent it from starting. In this case, check your home's electrical service panel for a tripped breaker or a blown fuse -- the 1600 requires a dedicated circuit rated at a minimum of 15 amps. To prevent a blown fuse, avoid using other large devices on the same circuit as your washer. If you use an extension cord, it must be rated at 15 amps as well. Before moving on to more complex troubleshooting measures, check the gun safety trigger and release the lock if your 1600's trigger will not move. Water Woes Releasing air from the pump serves as a simple fix for low-pressure water output; remove the wand and allow the washer to run as you depress the gun's trigger until the water output normalizes. If your water output seems to lack detergent, ensure that the clear tube is securely connected to the detergent nozzle. Likewise, check the connected water supply and make sure the faucet is fully open and that there are no kinks in the hose to ensure optimal pressure. Using a shorter garden hose makes for stronger pressure, as well -- Husky recommends a hose with a maximum length of 50 feet for a city water supply. Clearing Clogs If your Husky 1600's pressure seems lacking or its water flow is obstructed, clean the nozzle by removing the wand from the gun, clearing the nozzle hole of obstructions with a stiff wire and flushing the nozzle with clean water. Similarly, clean the washer's inner water screen, located behind the garden hose connector, by removing the screen and flushing it with water. This also corrects low or irregular pressure and may remedy a unit that does not stop releasing water when the trigger is released. Model HD1600 features a chemical solution reservoir with a similar screen; clean this screen in the same fashion if you experience chemical intake issues. More to Consider If your power washer issues go beyond troubleshooting basics, contact Husky's customer service department at 800-381-0999. Husky recommends contacting customer service when your 1600 has problems with its pump, bypass valve, discharge valve or manifold assembly, for instance. Because this series of powerwashers was originally offered around 2001 through 2008, Husky's one-year limited warranty no longer covers the cost of replacement parts or repairs.

I have a Husky power washer 2600 psi starts & runs until it seems to build Pressure and will not spray then motor boggs to a stall

Some models have a tiny orifice in the adjustable spray head.(if equipped) Which can become clogged by debris or calcium buildup. Water should flow through even when unit is off and sprayer handle(on/off) is operated if there is no water then you definitely have a clog.

Husky HU 80522 pressure washer - some pressure to the spray gun. water coming from the pump goes straight to the sifon hose used for detergent. Can this line be clamped of if not used?

This unit has a Faip pump on the unit, no water should come out the chemical injector. The chemical injector can be closed off with no problem by installing a plug where the chemical injector hose bard is currently located.
You can also replace the chemical injector, here is a link to view the part.

Troy bilt 2600 psi when you turn the water on it shoots out through the chemical supply inlet

My chemical supply inlet has a checkball and a spring that keeps pressure in check. There must be debris behind checkball. Easy to check by removing the fitting. If faulty and parts not available, plug fitting and add an aftermarket injector from www.pwmall.com. that you can install when you need it. Good luck

I was able to use soap all last season, this year, i cannot get it to come thru, i know all about the low pressure deal, it seems to be clogged/ is there any way to specifically clean it where it enters...

Soap injectors are easily clogged or will not work because of design (air leaks will prevent chem from entering if chemical has to be drawn uphill) . They work with siphon action and will only work with very little pressure at the tip but good volume. If your siphon valve has the ball in place, however is missing the fine spring that holds the ball against seat (fine spring holds ball aginst intake fitting), the soap will not be sucked into stream. If ball and spring are in place, try elevating the soap container higher than the opening of the port (gravity feed may help to feed soap into system) . May be better to use an aftermarket downstream injector valve sold on ebay or many outlets. Cost about $20 but work better and are adjustable to save on soap. Search ebay for "Chemical Injector For Pressure Washers" or google "Pressure Washer Downstream Chemical Injectors" Various prices but lower price units work better than factory. Good luck

I hAVE A 2600 PSI HUSKY PRESSURE WASHER, AND I HAVE NO PRESSURE GOING TO THE NOZZEL. i HAVE CHECKED EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS ATTACHED.

remove the pressure hose and turn your water supply on and water should flow thru the pump on out where the pressure hose is. If not you have a blockage in the pump.
