Question about Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver
You need to try and calibrate the screen. Turn on the unit and keep your finger on the power button. After 30-40 seconds the calibration screen will come on, release the power button and follow the instruction of touching the while dot as it moves around the screen. Once thisw is done your touch screen should work.

The screen on your model is a touch screen. There is a micro transparent membrane in the screen that is sensed using an X-Y scan. The sensing circuits have an intrepretor circuit that is run by software command from the uPC to know the location of the touch pressure in order to decode what the command is. There can be a fault anwhere along this path that can cause what you are describing.
If the unit is under warranty, you can send it in for service at little or no cost depending on the terms of the warranty. If the unit is out of waranty, there will be a cost to service it.
