I have actually installed networked printer on an Apple System and as long as MAC and printer are on same ip network it should detect the printer once the driver is installed on the MAC

Assuming printer only has UBS interface Mac should recognise the printer is connected to it once you install the driver .
If it has an internet protocol ip address tcp/IP then give printer an ip address in the range of the MAC and it will be detected by the mac.

Kyocera and Copystar models are the same just replace KM with CS.

you need to use generic driver for MAC... What kind of MAC OS are you using? MAC 10 have the drivers installed on the computer and you don't need to install the software.

Apparently, the drivers for your printer is bundled in with the MAC OS CD. There are no MAC drivers on the Lexmark for your model. And the 4200 series should work.
Follow the instructions below.

How to add a network printer (AppleTalk or LPR)

AppleTalk printer

• AppleTalk must be enabled in Network preferences.

Question mark appears, or trouble finding a printer?

If you can't find the printer you want to add in the list of connection methods, make sure you're choosing the right connection type for your printer. If there's a question mark on the printer's icon, or Print Center or Print Setup Utility lists it as unsupported, check for an updated software version at the manufacturer's website, or the Mac OS X downloads page.
