Well 1st a good radio fragile it is but it kicks **** well
well that hum might be something being lose on the board itself
try to poke the board as you have the radio power with a plastic stick see by pressing you can pin pont the area where something might be lose if you feel risky try soldering yourself.
that's how you learn that gelly rubbery substance inside the radio means cratical part of the bord should be play with unless you are a professional no doubt I hope I help you a bit no doubt
