You should re-clean the pulleys again and dry them, but do not spray any lubricant on the pulleys. This can cause the belt to slip, causing the squealing noise. If that doesn't help, Check to see if the tensioner is bad.

Good day!my jetta 4 1.9tdi made a screeching sound underneath then went off while driving.what could be the problem

worn belt tension idler pulley. Try locating it and spray with some WD-40 or other lubricant to see if that stops the squealing. if it does, replace it. They are made with a sealed bearing and the noise is an indicator that it is going bad.
Also check the water pump pulley and the alternator pulley to make sure they are tight. Without listening to the car, its difficult to say with any level of accuracy, but this should get you on the right track.

Sprayed my tensioner pully with a lubercant about 15miles of driving after my van started looseing acceleration while the rpm stayed the same as if I was still going 60did I possibly ruin a censor

Don't spray any pulleys or the serpentine belt with any spray lubricant as you will just cause the belt to pick up lubricant and slip on all the pulleys it is running on.
Whatever lubricant is left on the surfaces you sprayed clean it off.

No you will not have damaged a sensor.

Squealing under hood

could be the alternator or the power steering bearings. more like to be the power steering pump if it is the alternator spray some wd40 on the bearing shaft as the engine is running can do this to the power steering pump but it dont usually get to the bearing. unless you spray it in the breather hole on the shaft housing..

2006 kia sorento makes a squealing sound under

It is either the tesnioner or the belt....easy way to find out is to spray the pulley that has no grooves....that's the tensioner. Spray it with WD-40 or equivalent, in the middle of the pulley. That is the bearing housing. Spray only that first. Start the motor...if it goes away, then you have found your problem. Try not to spray the belt.

If it still squeals, spray the belt with the engine running. If it squeals, replace the belt.

Has anything been done to the motor recenlty? If so, one of the pulleys may be a little off-centered.

Let me know what you find.

Belts stretch from new. Try to tighten them again. Hopefully the are not glazed or this may stay with you.
