You have the wrong keyboard setup. make sure your keyboard is setup as USA. In saying this though it maybe faulty... try another one? see if problem stays same if so, then it is ya keyboard "language" set it to US as said B4.

Not working as key board button like as below 7890 uiop jkl m

Some where along the line, you have pressed the Fn Nd one of the Fx keys the transforms the keyboard into a number pad. If you look at your keyboard closely, you'll see that some keys have letters and numbers on them. usually on the right of the keyboard. One of the function keys( F keys) is responsible. If you hold the Fn key and tap that key, things should return to normal.

Help!!!! i need to factory reset my HP compaq 6720s as i have forgot my windows login password and i don't know how to do and also a power-on password keeps apearing and everytime i try to type it in it...

a bios password reset is easy enough. Pull out all power sources, remove the cmos battry, and hold the power button to drain residual charge. As for the regular password, burn Trinity Rescue Kit (google it) onto a disc, plug it in, and select boot from cd. You can reset the password like that. OR, you could try the admistrator backdoor method. type administrator as the user name and hit enter. no password. If that doesn't work, use the rescue kit

Qwer and uiop keys not working on a dell inspiron laptop. i don't have access to the laptop. i purchased it for my daughter who is away at college. Any suggestions/solutions? Thanks.

Keyboard is more than likely bad. Call dell or your local PC shop to get it replaced. If it is still under warranty Dell will send you a keyboard to replace it with. If you take it to a local PC shop tell them if it is under warranty

The num lock key controls letters on regular keyboard.

Let Number key stay off then you could use normal 1234567890 that is between QWERTYUIOP and F1-F12

Laptop keyboard on lifebook c, replace or fix

It looks like you answered your own question - you really can't fix a laptop keyboard, but you can replace them. (or you can use an external keyboard)

Now is your problem:?
Letters qwert, asdfg, zxcvbn work OK but uiop displays as 456/ jkl displays as 123 and m displays as 0. Other keys also do not display correctly. Or holding the function key down at the same time as the problem keys ?

Then the solution is:
The problem was caused by accidentally pressing the num lock key. Once pressed, it remains locked even after a reboot. Pressing again returns the keyboard to normal.
