This heater was purchase less than a year ago. This year I tried to use it and the heat and blower only work for a few minutes and then quit. Does anyone have an idea of where I could get this repaired, since it's still under warranty?

I purchased it at Fred Meyers. The store will not take it back. I need someone that is authorized to do warranty work on it. I live in the Seattle, WA area.

I have a nearly new briggs and stratton 800 snowseries snow blower that was purchased about 5 years ago. Used less then 10 times with no problems. It sat the past few years and still looks really clean....

Most likely the carb is varnished up. Gas sitting too long will go bad and will gum up the carb jets, valve seats, etc. Rebuild the carb, and it should run. If storing for long time make sure to add fuel stabilizer to the gas, run the unit for ten minutes, shut fuel off let it run until it quits, then put in storage.

You may need to replace the blower motor.Even a new one can go bad. I would try that first unless you get a professional with testers.

The blower fan comes on several minutes before the

Bad fan switch. It may also be called a fan limit switch. If your furnace is less than 5 years old, the switch is part of the circuit board and you will need to replace the board.

Are all your supply vents open? The furnace may be oversized or have a air blockage. Have you always kept the filter changed. Newer heaters need the ducts sized right. If the new unit has worked great in the past then it's probally not the duct work.

Heater runs hot for a few minutes then stops heating

I would say from what you have described your problem is a bad thermostat heat sensor (you may have to replace the whole thermostat on this model!) This is a very common problem for this unit!

I have a monessen LPG fireplace and the blower motor has seemed to stop working. it has a variable rotating switch on it. dont know if anyone knows where this problem is on most models like this?

The problem is likely the fan motor for the forced air blower, which means the entire blower needs replaced. The description of the problem is the same problem we had approximately two years ago when our motor was still under warranty (less than a year old). In our case the motor was replaced without charge. However, the same problem has happened this year which is extremely disappointing since we only run the fireplace from December to April intermittently because it is only a supplimental heat source for the house. You can either look up the model number and part number and order a replacement over the web (less expensive if you are DIY and know what you're doing) or see if the local LPG supplier can repair the part or replace. Good luck.
