Can't connect the printer to the computer because there's no installer.

Follow these steps to set-up a shared network printer :- 1. Connect the printer to the computer and install the printer driver. 2. Open Printers and Faxes - right click on this printer and click Sharing - click Sharing tab and click Share this printer, and then if you wish you could change the Share name, then click OK 3. Right click on the printer - click Properties - click Print Test Page to confirm printer installation. Follow these steps to configure the computers on your network :- 1. Open Printers and Faxes - click Add a printer - Next - select a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer - Next. 2. Select Browser for a printer - Next 3. Click on and expand the Microsoft Windows Network down to the computer with the printer - Next 4. Select Yes for - Use this printer as the default printer - Next - Finish 5. Right click on the printer - click Properties - click Print Test Page to confirm printer installation.

There are two possibilities. Maybe drivers does not support the operating system, or maybe the wrong drivers installed.

How to install the the printer driver
Install the printer driver, then connect the USB to the computer. If the USB cable is plugged into the computer, then install the new driver, happens is the failure of drivers install process.

1. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, to the computer.
2. Uninstall all software and drivers are already installed, then restart the computer.
3. Insert the Driver CD, do the install process. About a 90% of the install process, it would come the request "connect the printer to the computer".

5. The computer will detect the printer, and install process will continue until completed. After the install is complete, the printer is ready to use.

You mean connect printer to computer .
Before connecting the cables , insert the install disc in the computer drive and follow instructions . When installation os software/driver is completed , connect the USB cable to computer and printer and power cord from printer to AC plot . Press the power button and wait for Windows to confirm installation is successfull .
You can now use yoiur printer .

Disconnect the printer from the computer. Insert the driver disk that came with the printer into the CD/DVD player of the computer. Follow the prompts and install the software for the Lexmark. When it is finished installing, connect the usb cable to the computer and try printing a test document.

If you do not have the disk that came with the Lexmark, go to the manufacturers website at www.lexmark.com and click on support. Then find the download software/driver option and enter your model of printer. Then follow the prompts to download the file to your computer and install it. when it is finished installing, connect the printers usb cord to the computer and try printing a test document.

Some drivers do not come with your operating system and need to be installed before your printer is connected. Once the drivers are loaded the pc will automatically recognize the printer once connected.

Local printers

The most common way to install a printer is to connect it directly to your computer. This is known as a local printer.

If your printer is a universal serial bus (USB) model, Windows should automatically detect it and begin installation when you plug it in.

Try this, Disconnect the USB printer connection.
Remove the printer from the printer list. The list should be empty.
Re-boot your computer.
Check and make sure their are no other printers in list.
Find your install disks for the printer.
If you do not have a install disk, go to HP and download the printer installation files.
Install the software and do not plugin the printer until it is asked for.
After you install the new drivers and software the printer should be seen by the computer.

to clarify this, you need to install the printer in a computer that is connected to a Local Area Network lets call it computer 1. Once the printer is connected to the computer 1, share the printer by going to the start/settings/ printers. Right click on the lexmark e120 printer and click share. Click share this printer. Once done the printer that is connect to computer 1 is now on the network. on the other computer lets call it computer 2, to to start/settings/printer and click add printer/ select network printer and then browse the printer in the network and select it so that it will be added. Now you computer 2 has a network printer installed. try printing, make sure not to turn off the computer 1 when printing, or else it wont print.
