SOURCE: WE unscrewed a knob too far on the side and it

Take the mount off the tripod and remove the telescope. Lay it down on a table and see if you can get the latitude adjuster screw back in with no weight on the mount.

A LOOSE BATHROOM SINK HOT WATER HANDLE

Is it the whole tap or just the knob/lever?

Whole tap, there is a nut underneath that needs tightening. Don't over tighten it.

Just the knob or lever that you turn to turn on and off? You will find a small screw at the rear. It is a set screw, so it doesn't have a head, it just sits in a hole. Usually a hex key to tighten it. The hole is often filled with gunk so clean it first with an old toothbrush. The set screw is often sticky so undo it I turn before you tighten, lift the knob off, screw the screw in until you see it coming out of the inside to clean the threads. Unscrew the screw back out, replace the knob and tighten it.

Minolta Compact II Binoculars - the focusing adjustment is seized, how do I free it?

The adjusting knob has a rubber cover over it. Remove the rubber cover and take out the phillips head screw underneath. Then turn the adjusting knob all the way left with a pair of pliers and continue turning and it will unscrew and come off. Underneath you will find a metal lock nut, when you loosen this you will find the adjusting knob is suddenly not frozen anymore. It seems that this nut tightens over time to the point where the whole mechanism freezes. You can take the nut off and put some thread lock on the threads and tighten it just enough and it won't happen again. Cheers.

Focus knob just backs out of unit

There is a tiny setscrew on the side of the knob. Tighten this screw and the knob will stay on the rod coming out of the scope.

The focus knobs wouldn't retract the eyepiece and so in my infinite wisdom I tried to unscrew the whole eyepiece assembly by loosening the 3 screws that appeared to attach it to the main body. Well...

Focusers can be replaced and or upgraded-- you disassembled the focuser-- you will need to reassemble it properly -- you might have also messed up the screw threads in the holes and may need to try using a slightly larger size screws. Your local hardware store will have them.

Hi, Original focus knob fell off my atx 70 and now the 'focus rod' goes inside the telescope instead of moving front part. Is there any way to fix it?

The knob had a tiny set screw on the side of it-- that tightened down on the shaft.

See if you can tighten it back up. If it is missing take it to a well stocked hard ware store and see if you can find a replacement Allen style set-screw.

My focus knob does not work correctly, is this easy to fix?

There is a tiny set screw on the side of the knob. Make sure this is tight, and the knob is not just spinning around and around.

There is also a small rod inside -- that the focuser attaches to. If tightening the setscrew does not fix it, you will need to remove the focuser and see if it is detached from the rod. Make sure the scope is tilted BACK with the front of the scope UP a little or the mirror will slide to the front and possibly break.

'99 Hansgrohe Aktiva Family Set. All heads & controls are leaking

the temp control knobs have little plastic tabs over the hot and cold handles. To remove them take a flat blade screw driver( small with sharp head) or a small pen knife( cover drain with a wash cloth
and pop the tabs off

Take a medium size phillips screw driver and tighten the screw

Put tab back o and you are done

If they work loos again remov e tabs, screws put loctite ( You can get a small tube for m ace or hd) screw threads and tighten

Temp control knob either has same tab or has a hex type of set screw or has a large lock nut

use a channel lock pliars over nut ( protect chrome finish by putting washcloth over then put wrench over cloth

You mentioned heads I am assuming shower head you need to use an adjuatible wrench to turn the nut (at head) and a vice rip or chanel locks over washcloth around the eustaceon ( chrome pipe coming out of wall

If you have teflon tape put that on the threads of showr head and tighten

Best of luck to you!
