Question about GE JGRP17 Gas Single Oven
The rod at the back of the oven is the Thermostat probe. As long as you can re-attach the holder in the same place it's broken off, it wont cause any problem. It's simply a holder but needs to be in the right place so that the thermostat is in the right place in relation to the oven element.
You best bet is to weld the holder back on if possible. Otherwise you're going to have to find some glue rated for very high temperatures.
