Question about LG VX5500 Cell Phone
When it fell in water, it entered the screen and damaged it that is why the screen is not lighting up.
The solution to that is to replace the screen, to get to the screen follow the process below:
Turn your phone over so the back is facing you. Remove the battery. Now remove the 4 screws,
These screws may be covered by some plastic covers. These simply peel off.
Next remove the 2 rubber stoppers & screws above the main screen,
Now remove the two screws below the main screen,
Run a fingernail along the join of the housing to unclip it,
The top of the phone should now be in two pieces,
Unclip the ribbon. This attaches like a plug and socket,
Now detach the top of the phone from the bottom. This involves a little force as it is a tight fit,
Double back the ribbon on itself so it is away from the LCD screen,
Use the screwdriver to lever the old screen out,
Replace the old screen with new and reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
Take care and good luck
