My car DVD player wont play my movies

I have an overhead DVD player on my SUV that it stopped working after 2 yrs. When you put a movie on it, the movie starts turning, but no image, we just get a black screen. I want to know if it would be worth it to et it fix or just be better off buying a new one. Thank you.
