Plastic steering gears are probably stripped. Metal gears are available, and are easily replaced. Contact me at groshartl@gmail.com

My motorguide x15 trolling motorjust wants to spin around .. it has a remote foot control

Define 'wants to spin around'?

The propeller motor is supposed to spin around :>)

If the whole motor unit is spinning around you need to clamp the motor stem.

For factory support, you can get that from the website.

My trolling motor stopped working suddenly. It is a 96 motorguide 56. It is completely charged. What else do I check. I check 5 fuses by the battery as well.

First you need to check to see if power is getting to the motor. If power is not getting to the motor, then check the battery. If you are getting power to the motor, then troubleshoot starting with checking to see if power is getting to the foot pedal. From there check the switches, and make sure they all have power. If they do, then most likely it is the brushes which could be worn on the powerhead itself.

How do you reset remote for w75 wireless trolling motor

Its very easy:

Reprogramming the Wireless Foot Pedal or RemoteNOTE: This activation procedure applies to the foot pedal and remote.

IMPORTANT: To activate multiple foot pedals or remotes, the motor must be unplugged from the power source and then plugged

back into the power source between activating each control device.

1. Unplug the battery cables from the power source. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the motor into the power source.

2. In less than ten seconds, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons on either the handheld remote or the foot pedal controller

simultaneously.

That is probably the antenna for the RF remote control system. Is there a connector on the end of the wire? Contact me at groshartl@gmail.com

sound like either voltage drop or hi resistance from cables... if you test 24v at the plug then resistance is the problem and may have to rewire to a 6ga wire to carry the load, pretty simple just hook the new cable to the old one and SLOWLY pull it thru, help may be required because you dont want to loose it half way.....hope this helps...GL

There should be a couple of allen screws on the shaft that you can loosen, which should allow you to swing the motor head in the direction you want it to be pointing for the desired pedal position. Tighten and carry on.

The motor should work without the circuit breaker for a test. The breaker is a safety device to protect the motor and wires if something malfunctions.
