Question about Washing Machines
I have a Maytag 2755A washer that I bought on 27 Mar 07. When it is agitating in the wash and rinse cycles, it sounds like the drum is rubbing against the wall of the washer, very loud, almost like rubber against metal. It is leveled properly, both front to back and side to side. What could be causing this noise? It seems to do it when it's loaded, but when I run it empty with a small water load, it doesn't make the noise... I am also matching the water level to the load size properly.... Any ideas??
Maytag have had some problems with the bases of the unit. If you open the lid and it is leaning to the right this is the problem. You have to change the base of the unit and the springs that come with it. This is the only correct fix, but is a costly one.
