Question about Western Digital 250GB MyBook External USB 2.0 250 GB Hard Drive
Hi, I specialize in Data Recovery so I can help you out no problem :)
First thing we need to know is if windows truly recognizes the drive or not.
In order to find out let's check out the Windows Disk Management console.
You can get there by Right-Clicking - My Computer, choose Manage. A console will pop open, Choose Disk Management under Storage.
You'll see a box to the right that reads: Disk 0, 1, 2, etc. etc.
If you see the Western Digital listed there go ahead and right click the box and choose Assign Drive Letter, choose any drive letter from Q and above.
Let me know what happens.
