Sounds like it's about time for a new NB-4L battery. Check on Amazon, they have a slew of them at various prices. Heres one example.

Camera shuts off when shutter button is pressed.

I'd try replacing the battery first. It is common for a low power battery to not allow the camera's computer to read what it is supposed to do correctly. If the new fully charged battery doesn't fix it, I'd then contact customer service.

The light at the bottom right is just telling you it's looking at the memory card. My canon batteries are about two years old and are due for replacement because they are not holding charge very well. Unfortunately all rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to hold charge

Doesn't turn on with new camera battery

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera and give them a full charge. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Did not get a disc with my dpix 5200 camera im unable to send pic

Prakticam, unhelpfully don't have anything for their cameras more than a couple of years old and don't seem to care if you mislay the disc you paid for.So be warned, don't buy Praktica. I have the 5200, you have firstly to put your usb in computer, switch on camera, switch camera to view pictures taken mode, and because it auto switches to take picture mode you then carefully attach camera end into camera whilst camera is still switched on! Then go to my computer and click on F: the pictures download. Then to save them click on first pic, hold shift key down and then click on last pic they should all highlight, right click and then hover 'send to' and send by left clicking to my documents. I remember that it took me 4 hours to work it out. Found this looking for manual to download, cannot change date now......

Kodak dx6490 Powers up and shuts itself off.Battery is charged!

Hello, Sounds like you may have a battery problem. The DX6490 battery loses it's capacity over time, If the battery is a couple years old they are known to fail. May not be any problem with camera, try a new battery and let it charge completely before installing it.
Best Regards, Russell

Camera will not power on or off and battery is fully charged

The symptoms you describe sound very much like a failing battery. How old is your battery? Rechargeable batteries are only meant to last for a couple years, regardless of use.

G2 PowerShot Power Problem

When you're charging the camera, make sure the power switch is set to OFF. We've run into the same thing- we could plug it in for days, but it won't charge at all if the power switch is on.

Hope that helps.
