You have a leak in your freon (or whatever gas they use), It is expensive because they have to run a dye to find the leak. Try to find out first by phone, because you may be better off buying a new fridge unless it is under warranty, I am speaking from experience, I just paid $800 for a new compressor and recharge the system. If, I had known it was going to be that expensive, I would have ditched thing and bought new one with a warranty,.

Hello, was gone, house got cold. My Bernina B 790 is making a constant noise. Have heater on in sewing room to warm up, do you think that is the problem? How long might it take to warm up machine?

Machines should not be run until they can warm up in a warm room. Set in an area where it closer to a heat source (not too hot!) for several hours. Or, you might try heating it with a handheld hairdryer.

I ordered 1 14 presser foot and they keep sending them and charging me..

Immediately contact your credit card company and request they decline any future charges and to refund the excess charges on your card. (You may even want to request a new card since the vendor has the current card's billing information.) Contact the vendor and tell them that you have filed a protest with the credit card company, they've been notified to deny any future charges, refund the excess charges, and to stop any further shipping/charges.

TOP TOO LOOSE: THE BOTTOM OF FABRIC WILL HAVE EXCESS AMOUNTS OF THREAD. USUALLY A MESS OF THREAD.

My kenmore refrig (freezer on top) has started dripping from tube near temp control inside of frig. I think it might be related that one month ago - electric was off since not at apt for one month. Doors...

Your defroster inside the fridge may not be doing a good enough job to keep the drain from freezing up. Check to see if the drain pan is frozen over in the freezer section. I took the cover off the inside of the freezer and wrapped a piece of uninsulated 14 gauge solid copper wire around the heating element and pushed one end down the inside of the drain tube and wrapped the other end around the heating element. No problems since.

Zanussi fridge freezer. fridge section not working

Check the relay on that model and also check the pressure on freon and see if its up to specs. It may also be a bad trans board .

Lion Brank Nature's Choice Organic cotton sheds like crazy. What do I do? Made a beautiful baby blanket and afraid to give to the mommy, baby will end up with a mouthful of cotton.

You may want to soak the (finish product) of the blanket in a warm soapy water (bar/bath soap is prefer). Let it stay for about 20 minutes or so. Do not wring or dry it in the machine. Use a fresh towel. Lay the towel on flat surface. Put the wet blanket on top of towel. Roll the towel together with the blanket and add a little pressure to the roll to get the excess water out of the blanket. If still need it take another fresh towel and do it the same way. Then, lay flat to dry. Warm water and soap usually will make the fiber to be less sheds. Good luck!

Electrical cord is very warm on a warm humidifer. does this signal a wiring problem in the house (only 5 years old) or in the appliance, less than a year old

A warm or hot electrical cord it's more likely to indicate a problem on the appliance itself, not the house wiring. When the appliance is drawing too much current, the cord gets hot. You may need to consider to stop using the appliance as it may become a fire hazard.

A problem in the house wiring may trip the breaker, not overheat the electrical cord from the appliance.

I hope this info helps.

Ice-maker water overflowing into the freezer/ice-maker.

Possibly the inlet valve.  If it doesn't shut all the way off it will drip water which will freeze in the chute and cause it to overflow.

I have a Kenmore 1914 and it still works graeat

If you mean the foot control, overheating MIGHT be due to the motor having too much load. This could be due to lack of lube of the machine or any other thing causing excess friction.

These controls normally get warm, but not to the point of smoking unless they get loaded with dust.
