I would be happy to help you. Your problem is with the green color gun inside your monitor. If you have a place close by your home that does TV repair call them for a quote, but the cost of a replacement monitor may be cheaper. You can call around for a quote on repairs or just replace the monitor. Im only saying this because if you lost one color gun it wont be long before you loose another one and then you will be back in the same postion you are now. You can try Geeks.com or Ebay for a cheap replacement and your probably ready for a new monitor today.

I hope this helps you out and if it does please give me a YES on the page you recieved this response on. Thank you.

hello Diane, actually yellow is mixed red and green.
I thing you should check your cbf cable first (VGA cable).
Or if you have pattern test, use it to make sure which color has lost.
Change VGA cable may can solve it.
If any problem, please let me know.
Thanks and good luck.

This blue green tint appears when a magnet is close to the monitor. Find devices having a magnet which is close to the desktop. This might be the problem. Take devices having magnets away and i guess things should be fine.

I have an old Toshiba TV and was going to replace it with a new plasma because it has suddenly (the week of July 19, 2010) lost color. It has only green and blue tint. Changing the "tint" on the menu didn't help. The color comes and goes relative to nothing that I can measure, such as how long it is turned on, etc. Reading other complaints from owners of Plasmas, I am thinking it is cable related. I have Charter Cable. Playing a DVD, I have to readjust the tint back to normal. Hope this info gives clues.

When I turned on monitor today it had a sickly green color tint to it. Why?

Check your graphics card for the connector being loose. You can also check your monitor's settings using the buttons on the monitor to check the RGB values to make sure green isn't too high. You can also get the latest graphics card drivers for your computer from the manufacturer.

The monitor has now got a blue tint I have checked the lead

Your monitor has a menu system that will allow you to access the color guns so you can adjust the red, blue, green guns that create the color picture.

The blue tint may indicate that you need to adjust teh reg and green to offset OR it may indicate that you have lost the red gun all together.

If this is an older monitor and you are considering repair... cost points say it is cheaper to buy a monitor ~$60 bucks
