Memory Card Problems

I recently bought a memory stick pro duoand adapter for my camera. the package says it can hold photos and videos, yet when i try to record video, it just says "Memory Card Full", when all of the space on the card is free. It stores photos just fine though.

I have a Samsung SC-D353 camcorder with a pro duo slot. I bought a Lexar pro duo 4 GB memory card but when i insert it, "memory full" is displayed on the screen. I have formatted the card in the camcorder but it still will not work. I know there is not a problem with the card as i have used it for other things.

According to the samsung website " Samsung camcorders manufactured in 2004 and later can be used with memory sticks up to 1GB. Anything over 1GB is not guaranteed to work. "

I have the same problem. Video works fine on my 256MB card but not on my 4GB or 8GB cards. It would be nice to know if anyone has success with a particular card >1GB.

Many camcorders can not record video to card-card is only used for stills-not that the card can't store it -it's just your model doesn't support that feature

Hi:
I had the same problem, you must configure in the menu and you can record in MP4, I can do it!.
My problem is ... I have a 128 MB card and I would like to buy a bigger one, 2 GB? but I don't know if the camera can handle this capacity.

I've recorded video to the card in ..mp4 format with this camera (there are settings within the menu). I believe there is a 2GB card limit with this camcorder and think your 4GB card is not supported.

WHAT memory stick do i use for a DCR-PC9E

You probably need the old-style memory sticks, as this is a fairly old camera, or an adapter. See this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_Stick
Adaptors are cheap : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Memory-Stick-Pro-Duo-Adapter-/251482939281?pt=UK_Photography_MemoryCardReaders_RL&hash=item3a8d8d1f91 is but one example, there are lots for sale out there or your sony shop may have one.
You may have to check to see if the camera is capable of reading and writing to a card of 4GB size, but as you have already bought it, it's worth a try.
Hope this helps.

Memory Stick C-13.01 Problem

It could be that the mem stick ( Memory Stick Duo media or higher-capacity) is not correct or is a inferior product.

Compatable cards/sticks LINK

Try another stick or can you put that stick into something else and format it, then retry.

A custmers experence that sound a little like you own is posted below

I actually bought the camera with a 2GB kit from Butterfly Photo. I don't have anything to say about the camera but a lot about the seller . First, the shipping came with two items missing, the memory card reader, and the cleaning kit. We call them to inform them about that, they tried to persuade us telling us that it was Amazon fault, but since we didn't give up, they finally shipped the missing items. Soon to realize that the memory card reader they sent us does not fit at all with the memory card of the camera!!!! I am still trying to talk to someone that can take any responsibility on that. Moreover, the memory card is defective, giving error messages here and there. When we started looking for some info about it, we found out that the memory card was actually fake!!!!! In Amazon there is a guide that explains you how to tell real memory cards from fake ones. I would suggest that you read that first before trusting any buyer. The real ones are supposed to come with the memory card adapter (this one didn't) and the package is totally different (We went to Best Buy to confirm these). Moreover, the tripod they sell in the package is very low quality. I am now wondering if the camera actually does not have some defects LINK to above post

Make sure you are inserting a compatible memory card for your model. Below is the list of compatible digital media memory cards for the Lexmark P350 printer:

  • Sony Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO
  • Secure Digital (SD) Card
  • MultiMediaCard (MMC)
  • xD Card

  • Mini Secure Digital (Mini SD) Card (with adapter)
  • Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo (with adapter)
  • SanDisk TransFlash Memory Module (with adapter)
  • RS-MMC (with adapter)
Guidelines to print via bluetooth:
  • You can print photos from a Bluetooth-enabled device such as a camera phone using a USB Bluetooth adapter.
  • Make sure that the Bluetooth Enable and Discovery Mode selections on your printer are set to On.
  • Insert a USB Bluetooth adapter into the PictBridge port on the front of the printer.
printmastert_72.jpg Note: Bluetooth adapter sold separately.
  • Once the printer detects the Bluetooth adapter, the following message appears on the printer display for five seconds: Bluetooth Dongle Connected.
  • To print photos from your Bluetooth-enabled device, see the documentation that came with the product.

Memory Stick Pro Duo with adapter not compatible with the camera

I am so sorry my friend, you have same problem as we all have, no memory bigger that 1 gb will work in cameras older than 3 years, I think yours is yes? the camera simply does not see those, sad I know, but that is how it is, I know because I have 3, yes 3 adaptors and 3 big mem bits here, and my money is lost.

Sony memory stick PRO duo 4gb card says memory full when empty

I would suggest formating the memory card through the options on your camera. If you reformat the memory card and you still get the same error then you have a bad card. Just like anything else the cards will break down internally over time.

When I install my Memory Stick Pro Duo 8GB in my camera it will format and take and store photos fine 1460 total. I then try to put the Memory stick in my card reader which says it supports this format it...

You need a new memory card reader. The reader isn't supporting the higher capacity of the new Memory stick. For a workaround, hook the camera directly into the computer via USB cable - then the camera itself becomes the reader and can transfer all of the pictures. Look for a reader that specifically does Memory Stick PRO Duo sticks, the PRO means the higher capacity.

Plug the duo card into adapter labels need to face same direction. Plug adapter into camera or other device label facing you. Once card is installed make sure you format it for the device. My memory stick is 8GB and I use it in my P200 cybershot camera. 2400 high quality 7mega pixel images and 42min-3hrs of mpeg video.
