Monitor mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working

Hi, Dixie, What have you tried to do so far?
IF you've move the machine to a different spot, and have disconnected the cables, maybe you have the cables in the wrong spot?
IF you have power to the computer, and the fans on the "box" works then try a different monitor, IF that part works then try a different keyboard and mouse.
Hope this helps.

when you see the error hit f1 and see if your computer resumes bootup. if it doesnt then if you have a usb keyboard try a different one and if you have a ps/2 keyboard then try a ps/2 to usb adapter. if the adapter works then you have a pin issue on your ps/2 connector and just continue to use your adapter.

Try the new keyboard in a different computer, to see if the new keyboard is defective.

Try the old keyboard (or a different one) in your computer, to see if the keyboard-port is still functioning correctly.

somewhere in the bios you might have a setting for lecgacy or usb 1 or usb 2. just select a different option and try again. this sounds like a common problem but only the other way around. usually if the usb setting is wrong a keyboard doesnt work in bios but works in windows.

Your keyboard USB cord has probably become loose. Try reseating the cable into another USB port, or just reseating it if the keyboard uses a keyboard cord.
If this doesn't work, try a different keyboard (if you have another one around the house).
You may have either a bad USB port, dirty port, or bad keyboard.

The @ key does not work on my compaq keyboard. how do I make it work?

you may have your keyboard set to the wrong locale. UK English keyboards are different from US English - some critical keys, like @, are in different places.
In your computer settings, check keyboard setting are set appropriately. In Win7 it's in Control Panel>Clock, Language>Region>Keyboards.

I have a acer laptop, suddenly keyboard stop working. kindly please help

if it is not responding at all you may want to check the ribbon cable, there are screws underneath the laptop in the area of the keyboard, carefully lift the keyboard up and check the flat cable that runs from the keyboard to the system board.

its worth checking that you can still access the keyboard from the bios, when the system turns on press the key to go to setup (usually del or f2 or f10) if that works then boot to widows and check you keyboard settings in windows, if nothing is apparently wrong, right click my computer and go properties, go to the hardware tab, click device manager and uninstall the keyboard, reboot and windows will reinstall the drivers for it

hope you find that useful

Keyboard doesnt work on my repaired emachine with win xp

Could be a couple of things.

First, try connecting another keyboard using the same type of connection as your keyboard. (PS2, or USB). If that one works in the machine; then it's more then likely that there is a problem with your keyboard.

If it doesn't work, it may be a problem with the system itself or possibly a software problem. To test a keyboard is very simple and this test is integrated in most of the BIOS startup systems today. Simply press more than 7 keys right when you turn your power on to the system. If it beeps after a few seconds of holding or brings up a keyboard error, then the keyboard is communicating with the system. If there's a keyboard error that actually states that there is no keyboard present; then there is a problem.

I hope this helps you narrow it down. If it's not the keyboard itself, and you can't get any keyboards to work, I'd have that shop take another look at what they did.
