Question about Whirlpool RF262LXS Kitchen Range

F3 E4 Err

I am seeing: F3 E4 bottom sensor open. What do I do? I have a Whirlpool Accubake Duo Glass Top oven model #RF199LXKT and get the error message E4 F3. I think the unit is working ok, what does this mean. I have the owner's manual but it does not have a trouble shooting guide.

Bad EOC. Have to change the oven control. Sorry but this will be the only repair unless you know some one who can take it apart and repair some connections by using a soldering iron. Good luck.

Whirlpool Gold Accubake Duo. ''E4 - F3'' or ''E0 - F3''

HI. These codes are an indication of oven temperature sensor failure. The sensor is damaged. This will not allow for proper operations. The affected part must be replaced, asap.

The sensor is, generally, located inside the oven, mounted on the back wall, on the top right, or left corner. It will look like a 4 inch long slender probe. There will be two screws holding the housing on the back of the oven wall. Once the screws are removed, the sensor will need to be extracted from the back side of the unit.

Whirlpool Accubake Duo System electric range fault coes E4 F3

F3 code correlates to oven temperature. Either the oven temperature sensor is malfunctioning or the over-limit switch is open. This is usually the result of using the self-clean mode and the over-limit switch gets stuck open. It has to be replaced...not too bad of a job if you have some mechanical/electrical knowledge. Ask parts supplier for a schematic so location can be visualized (inside top cavity on oven wall with a couple of wires. Also, Sears carries parts for these ovens. Hope this helps.

F3 E4 Err

although i looked up by model number and couldn't find any "lower"sensor, the tech sheet does does list it as an open lower sensor, and here's an abbreviated portion of their repair, which ultimately leads to replacing the lower thermistor that i can seem to locate

Open the back panels and make sure the indicated temperature sensor is plugged in.
Check connector P3 on the power board. Make sure it is plugged in and fully seated.
If it is not, make the proper connection
Visually inspect the wires between P3 on the power board and the indicated temperature sensor. Make sure the wires are not cut or pinched. For the following sensors, the resistance value
should read:
Lower Oven Sensor Between 931 and 2869 ω.
(Approx. 1080 ω at room temp).
replace lower thermistor
