I currently have the same problem, very frustrating. Have had it a few times but the screen has always sorted it's self out. This time though, the screen has been like it for a few days.
Any help people?

How do I make my kindle fire screen brighter?

Adjusting Screen Brightness The screen on the Kindle Fire uses more power than anything else, and the brighter the screen, the more battery power it uses. To increase battery life, you can lower the brightness of the display.
Unlock the rest of this book. Swipe the status bar down to open the Settings drawer.
Unlock the rest of this book. Tap Brightness.
Unlock the rest of this book. Slide the brightness control to the right to increase brightness and to the left to decrease brightness.

CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT

it is best to shut the color level to the lowest setting then try t balance the screens to achieve the best black and white picture. then turn up your color level. Your brightness level should also be set to 50 % then when you adjust for the best B&W picture. You will have better color and brightness when you reset your color and brightness levels.

I am further looking into ur problem..

Goodluck..

I have a 42 in Sanyo DP42647. If there is something like a logo or words that stay on the screen for more than a few seconds it looks like it is burned in. It eventually fades but by the time one fades...

Cause of screen burn typically is pixels are no longer showing full range of color. Typically a shop would cycle screens or blocks of very bright colors alternating colors to unstick any pixels not showing full range of some color. Setting tv back to factory default then adjusting could help also turning up brightness. Change color settings from cool to warm could help. Could also be a refresh rate. Verify tv is set to display at same rate as input device like cable box set to output 1080i while tv native is 720p. Just because there is a pic doesn't mean they are synced.if tv has to convert signal from 1080i to 540i then resize to fit 720p tv it may slow refresh rate tv is trying to display progressive scan image but not enough data is coming in so it redisplays previous image on every other line.and new data on every other line.
solution is check output video settings of source to match native resolution of tv. Hd cable box this is common as tech sets output to high resolution 1080i most inexpensive tv are 720p

Hi, I have an iPhone 3G 8GB and the screen seems to be too bright. Is there a Contrast application available somewhere that I can use to cancel the effects of the brightness? Thanks, J.

The iPhone has its own brightness control. You just need to adjust it to your preferred brightness. Go to Settings> Brightness
From there, you can adjust the brightness to your preference.

Adjusting color/ user mode??

The TV will not let you set brightness, contrast, color or tint in the preset modes like Vivid, Movie, Standard etc. Look for a mode that says custom, user etc..

Sync

While the iPhone certainly isn’t the first mobile handset to suffer from freezes, its functional breadth and the fact that many of its users install unsupported third-party applications make the device, generally, more freeze-prone.

settings can result in a reduction in or complete elimination of freezes:
  • Tap Settings on the home screen. Tap General. Tap Auto-Lock. Set to “Never.”
  • Tap Settings on the home screen. Tap Brightness. Turn Auto-Brightness off.

IPhone vs. iPhone 3G

The iPhone 3G has all the features of the first one,
plus faster 3G data downloads,
GPS, and a better battery life.
Externally, the phone's casing is slightly changed, with a thinner edge and thicker middle, but a flush headphone jack and solid-colored back make up the only other major differences visually. Everything else from the screen to the number of buttons and switches on the outside are the same.
