The television is currently hooked up to a direct cable line. Could it be the power supply? I have been reading and it appears to be a common problem.

Yes, It does make a clicking noise before it turns on. The LED on the front does change color. Could it be the main tuner board?

The blue screen is what is displayed when no signal is received. The tv goes to stand by after 5 seconds without signal to save energy and minimize the wear on the tv. Both behaviours are absolutely normal. The first thing you should do is to check the cables that plug at the back of the tv, they might be loose or even unplugged.
You haven't told us how do you receive the signal (direct cable, antenna or some sort of receiver) so all i can tell you is to check the tv using another source like a dvd player and the source used now by connecting it to another tv. In one of these cases the faulty part will not work. If it's the tv then the AV selector (or the tuner) is defective and you will have to call a repairman to replace it - only them have access to replacement parts.
If it's the cable or the receiver then you will have to call the company that install it.

No, since the tv says no signal then it works just fine. Check the cable by plugging it in another tv. If that tv also doesn't have a signal then the cable is faulty. If it has then the tuner in your Vizio has died and will gonna have to be replaced. This is a simple problem that a repair guy will fix in under an hour for less than $150. But you must call one because (as i said) only them have access to replacement parts.

Make a step by step troubleshooting and start on the power supply first this is where all the system starts...replace first all bulging capacitors...and measure the voltage output afterwards...5v,12v and 24v must be stable and present...next check the tuner board make sure that the connections are intact and fitted the terminals.resolder all the terminal post of the interconnections terminals...poor connections can cause a voltage drop and will cause the machine to shutdown...try to directly connect a dvd player to your tv and see if a picture appear and play fine...if it does then that is a tuner board problem...not detected by the system..

do this first and let me know what happen...good luck pls rate my help by clicking the thumbs up butoon.

I only get a blue screen with "No signal" on it. it doesn't stay on it shuts off automatically.

Power on your TV and press the INPUT button on the side of the TV repeatedly and rapidly until you can change it to a different input, such as AV.

If this does not work. Try this: With the TV off, press and hold the input button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. Let me know if either of these work.

The tv had blue screen briefly showing "no signal" then turns off. ... and I am getting the same blue screen-no signal.

If your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you can get back to watching your TV:
1. Powering on your TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly until a picture re-appears.
2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.

I got this off the vizio website.

Sounds like this unit is still in warranty. Have the service people come out and look at it. If you don't have a bill of sale, you should still have production dates on the unit.
