you can try to restart the phone. The only problem with that is that everything you have saved on ur phone gets deleted unless its on a memory card. What you have to do is turn off your phone then wait a couple of seconds then hold the power button along with the to line buttons by the green phone and the end call button. After you hold them down you wiil see a screen that will have some writing when that shows up you press the green phone button. After that it will restart but its going to take a while for it to restart. then when its done deleting everything its going to ask you to tap the screen the its going to ask you to do the align screen. you can skip the rest after you skip it the pocket pc page will come up and it will show you its installing everything when its done it will turn off and start up again. and there you go like new. if that doesnt help the you should go get it checked out..
if the touch function still somehow works then yes.......but you'll have to remember where everything is located.......can you do that?.....if so, very cool........if not ......you have to repair it.hope this helps.
Others have post that if you go in sytem file when you connect your phone to the computer you can delete the welcome file from there and use the key pad on your phone. Because mine is stuck on the alignment screen. Thanks
or course, powercycle....if that doesnt work, a master reset will be needed.....because it sounds like there might be somehitng stuck on the screen in the corner for make it scroll around, clean the screen with a qtip and rubbing alchohol.....if that doesnt work, try a software reset. with the phone off, you will have to press and hold the button withthe lines on them and press the power button.....release the powerbutton.....the phoen should turn on and go to a black screen with white writing....release the soft keys here and press the green call button...it will reset the phone, but in turn, you will loose your info that is not stored on the sim or media card...
this is hard to do, so if you can navigate through the phone go to start, setttings, system, clear storage. it does the same thing. good luck :)
I would look at some third party applications that clear up the memory while you are on the PDA / JAM. You can also go into the settings function, memory and view running programs.
One of the earlier version flaws of Windows 2003 is that it does not offer a shut down menu on the Today Screen. There are quite a few freeware applications that allow you to shut down running programs. I tend to run one or two programs - maximum at a time. This is not a laptop. I find my touch screen unresponsive if too much memory is in use. It's not really the touch screen but that the computer can't follow my commands, almost like an old 283 or 386 computer.
Take a look for these tool bar/memory manager programs before sending out to service in Mumbai.
finally found the fix for this problem.. i had the same problem - when you are the welcome screen align section continue holding your stylus on the marker until marker moves to the next location and continue this process with all four corners and the screen will go past the tap align screen
enjoy, glad i came across another forum for this problem
