Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.

I fixed my problem by disconnecting the control board, cleaning all the contact points (including the ribbon cable) with alcohol and reconnecting everything as tight as possible.
I did notice that one of the contacts had become very corroded, so I scrubbed this one for a while. Prior to this I had done some selective unplugging and replugging (ribbon cable in particular) to no avail (each of these attempts powered on to beeping and no display).
Not a fancy solution, but it did work!

Usually this is a touchpad and control panel fault but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.
With the model number of the oven we could look up the code and be more specific about the problem.

I have a GE JT950 double oven that just did the same thing: F7 and beeps like crazy. I found solution on another post: an engineer figured out how to solve the issue without calling GE or buying parts. I just did it tonight and it worked fine. Here is a copy of the post:
Send an e-mail to Charlie at firstname.lastname@example.org for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. I actually found his information on another website when I did a web search for "GE Profile Oven F7 Issue". I sent an e-mail to him and he replied with free fix-it information. I am not a repair person myself, but, his instructions are very clear and simple to follow. I did the fix-it at no cost in approximately 10 minutes and it has solved my problem

Getting beeps when you push the keypad buttons means that power is getting to the control board. First, try shutting off the breaker to power down the oven for a few minutes, then turn back on. This will force a system reset, hopefully the oven will recover.
If not, you probably have a problem in the control board. If this is the case we may be able to save you some money if you can get the board pulled. We repair oven controllers at www.fixyourboard.com
