Warranty replacement Snap On Tools ?

Warranty information is here. However, I also just read this!

As a professional mechanic for many years I would often buy Snap On for their warranty. Their tools had a lifetime replacement if broken or defective.

The needle no longer sits at zero on my fuel pressure-vacuum gauge from Snap On. This is not good when trying to diagnose a recent fuel problem on my ride, inaccurate readings. I put the gauge in my car with the intention of getting it replaced when spotting a Snap On truck in my travels.

A couple weeks passed and a truck was spotted at a used car dealer, spun the car around and went to the truck with gauge in hand. After introductions and explaining the problem with the gauge, his answer was that Snap On will no longer make good on their warranty. The dealer explained that most items i.e. test equipment, taps, dies and various other instruments no longer are covered. When asked what is still warranted for life, he said basically just hand tools.

I told him that when I bought this gauge twenty five years ago the life time warranty was a factor in my purchase and that I could probably still find the original sales slip. No good came the reply and could call corporate if i wanted to pursue it further.

I heard something snap and then noticed that the rear of the car drives very bumpy

Can you provide more info? Did you hit a bump? What do you mean by 'drives bumpy?' Does it ride rough, or does it go up and down a lot after you hit a bump, or something else? Can you further describe the snap you heard, and what was going on when you heard it and immediately afterward (e.g., driving 40 mph on a paved road, hit a pot hole, heard a loud 'breaking' sound as if something snapped/broke, and the ride of the car seemed to immediately change to being more harsh/rough)? Have you had any work done recently, such as tires changed or rotated, struts replaced, wheel alignment, or brakes replaced? Did anything else change (e.g., now when you hit a bump, you hear a new noise in the rear)? Were you carrying anything heavy in the trunk or back seat? I had a '99 Corolla for several years, and had zero problems other than a worn out driver's door handle and a couple of cracked windshields. Great car choice!

Not printing the entire page. Approximately one quarter of the page not printing, across ways.

I would listen to the response to Geraldine Watts by Handyman
back in 2007. Not printing sounds like dirty heads that can be
lightly wiped by just a water damped qtip. This helped me at one
time. Black vertical lines are fixed by pulling plugs for a couple of
minutes (resets machine). It could also be a bad cartridge but I
doubt it. I would never waste money on buying parts because
the new printers to purchase are cheap enough.

My 6500 broke when I pulled out several pieces of paper and then got an ink failure error. No fix for this. I then bought the 7520.
photosmart and I am glad my 6500 broke.

I bought direct this time from HP at $149 (hp matched a best buy sale) as well as buying their warranty for $34 that covers next day replacement and any phone questions I might have for 3 years.

I love hp photosmarts only because they are the 'king' on photo
quality but I hate the reps charging if you are out of warranty.

If HP offered help to those out of warranty they would then have no
competition in the printer world. I buy my inks from local stores like staples. Good luck with your machine.

2006 GMC Sierra parking Brake

Providing that the rear portion is free and not damaged you only need the part that broke. Your dealer can give you part # and advise if warranty covers it.

My hinge broke on nds

If you have a valid receipt nintendo will have to cover it under warranty. Provided it just snapped and is not broke because of bad handling.
Alternatively order a new case through eBay and just switch the old case with the new one.

Is it possible to buy a replacement leg for a GB1140?

I would contact the factory and see if they have replacement part available. Try their website and ask. Most large retail manufactures have parts avaiable.
