To do the job right, you make a miter cut, then a coping cut. There is an excellent article on this at:
Getting a nice-looking coped joint is very satisfying, but takes a bit of practice. But it's worth it. Miter joints are great for picture frames and trim on furniture, but not for trimming a room.
Good luck!

I have a stanley mitre box it has a crack in it how do i fix or find someone who can fix it.

Most manual miter boxes are made of aluminum. A good welding shop should be able to repair your box, or you can get "aluminum brazing rods" at a home center; you'll use a propane/butane torch to heat the rod and flow it into the crack, similar to soldering.

How do I cut the the corners(miter) of Polystyrene cornice.

Try making the cut with the rear of the cornice against the rear of the miter box rather than the front as you would for cutting regular (not crown) molding. I hope you are not using a circular saw to cut polystyrene.

Need to know how to use this tool Stanley 5-1/2in sliding t-bevel, I am cutting trim molding around the top of my bathroom and i know this will give me the angle but do not know how to transfer the angle...

Hello. It may be simple, but the transfer part catches everyone - yes even me at first. For your application, the trick is to:
  1. pull the slide as far as it will go and match the round-to-round end and match into the angle to be cut/trimmed-out.
  2. transfer the angle to a protractor, and match the angle (now a number) to the scale for "blade angle" on your saw.
  3. should your saw's scale be suspected as inaccurate, match the angle visually with the blade to the item's work surface.
Good luck, and if this helped please vote a four thumbs-up.
Thank you.

What do i do to cut inside/outside corners for crown molding

It is very hard to make proper cuts with one of these.

You may want to buy a power miter saw.

You would be better off marking your 45 degree angle and cutting it freehand.

If you angle your saw a little the face will look like it matches up better.

If you need more help post a comment.
