You probably have activated the "Accessibility" tools within Windows.
Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Acccessories
Click Accessibility

to reconfigure it, or disable it.

I want to make Google my default browser

If you're using Internet Explorer browser, click on theTools (menu item) ... and at the bottom of the drop-down window, click on "Internet Options". A (smaller) window will open, showing under the General (tab) ... your current home page. Simply edit (or add) into that (top HOME PAGE) window,www.google.com then, click on APPLY at the bottom right corner.

Now when you open your Internet Explorer (browser), it will go directly to google.com.

If you use the Mozilla Firefox browser, you'll want to click on the "Tools" menu item. A (smaller) "OPTIONS" window will open. Click on "General" and you will see the (current) STARUP Home Page URL address. Simply add/replace that with www.google.com and click on OK.

Now when you open your Mozilla Firefox (browser), it will go directly to google.com.

Google chrome will not start

Try one of the other browsers.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome.Unlike Internet Explorer they install in less than 5 minutes and they arefaster and safer than Internet Explorer.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download MozillaFirefox" (without the quotes). Download and Install Mozilla Firefoxfrom Mozilla's website. Do the same thing for Opera and Google Chrome.

I've put the links of each one below so if you like you can just click on themto go to their site to do the download and install.

Keep getting connecting tab

Open your Internet Option in the control panel and go to the advanced tab and click the RESET tab to reset internet explorer to it's default settings.

If that don't solve the problem try a better browser. Internet Explorer is the worst browser there is.

Why google chorme open sites slowly?

You probably have a virus or infection. Chrome is by far one of the fastest browsers around.

Windows does not save the default browser setting. I have tried to make Firebox the default but the PC still reverts to Chrome as default every time

Hi,

My name is Ben and I'm your guru, i.e., mentor, an influential teacher or popular expert: a management guru. - origin from Sanskrit, 'weighty, grave' for today.

I recently had the same problem and soon discovered that Chrome does not allow you to go to a menu and uncheck the primary or default browser box. I've gone onto the Google forums and tech support without any luck. I finally uninstalled Chrome and then reinstalled it but didn't make if my default and the problem was solved.

I'm now using Firefox 6.0 and have found it to be almost as fast as Chrome. In addition, the Firefox apps such as Cool Preview and Speed Dial are fantastic.

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

1) Delete your cache.

2) Click the red X at the top right side to close your browser. Then, open your browser again. If this does not solve your problem, and you use Internet Explorer then:

3) Update Internet Explorer to a newer version (IE 8 for 32-bit systems or IE9 for 64-bit systems), or
4) Download and try Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome ;or
5 Download and try Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/

Google Chrome hangs on startup

You have the latest version of Google Chrome - but it is still in BETA. I'm using the same version on Windows Vista Home Premium and I haven't seen the same problem. My advice would be to use a different browser such as Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer until Google Chrome is past the BETA stage gate.
See http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
You should also check that all your Windows updates are current.
