SOURCE: Frigidaire Model number frs26znh defrost not working?

The defrost systems is:
5303917954 TIMER-DEFROST

Start with the timer. It is just under the front kick plate. there is a knob you can turn it slowly.until it clicks off the compressor. then open the freezer and listen . You should hear the heater come on .. it will sizzle when it comes on ...

You will have to remove the back panel of the freezer to check the heater for and thermostat for continuity. Heater are the lease likely part to go bad... I always change thermostat and timers together.

let me know if this helps or we can chat if you need more help.

SOURCE: Info on replacing drain hose on dometic model 2652

You will need to remove the fridge and set it on the floor or at least pull it forward enough to reach the top of the drain hose. There is clip that holds the drain tube to a nipple that sticks out of the back of the fridge that will need to be removed. Remove this clip and the drain hose should pull right off. Route the new drain hose down through the cooling unit coils to the door panel. Attach it back to the nipple with the clip and you should be good to go. The part number for the new drain hose is 2932749019.

Hope this helps,

Freezer and Upper and Lower ice makers not working

that's a serious problem and I believe you need to either get a new refrigerator or have a technician come and give you a better diagnosis than me trying to find out what the problem is I look for parts and I don't think that model offers too many repairable parts for the evaporator an example is the defrost heater is part of the whole price of the evaporator

Samsung RS265LBBP Defrost Thermostat

Try to check the thermostat by heating slightly with a hair dryer. It should give an open circuit once heated slightly. Have you checked the heater. You may have an open heater. Ohm out the heater it should give a reasonable low ohm reading. If the heater measures in the k or m range it is bad.
one other thing to answer your initial question. The thermostat is likely not the cause. If you have continuity that means power can go to your heater circuit.
Good luck

Freezer getting tomuch ice, fridge doesnot gets cold

The problem you describe is very frequent. The fridge is getting the coldness from the freezer through a chant and the force of a motor fan Motor evaporator

Number: 173301 Substitution: 5300158289 part no. 26. So the build up of ice in the freezer is blocking the air pass thought and get the fridge cold. Also it may block the fan motor blades from rotating.

So the first you need to check is the heating element on the evaporator in the freezer department. This element might have burn out (and now is open circuit) and even f the defrost timer give instruction for start heating up the element is bad so the defrost is not performed. You just need to replace the heating element. Heater

Number: 178425-01Substitution:5317842502

Is the part no 1 in the diagram in this link.

If the heating element then the defrost timer is bad and does not give any instruction to the heater so you need to replace the defrost timer Defrost timer

Number: 174820 Substitution: 215846602 part no 40 in the following link

As you can see in above links and the one below you can find all the parts of your fridge which the diagrams can help you find them.

Model PTS25LBMARWW GE refrigerator not defrosting

Two posibe reasons.
First the defrost heater is damage and need to be replaced. This is the most frequent problem and heater cost only about $32.

Second most serious but rear is the electronic control board is faulty and does not give the instruction or power to heater to heat up and melt frost. Need to be replace this is ruther expensive part about $132.

Frezzer top is not very cold with frost build up in the back. refridgerator section is not cold at all

Based on your statement I suspect you have a top mount freezer. Classic symtom of a defrost failure. Depending on the make & model, one or more of the defrost componets have failed. (heater, defrost control, teminator). Other lower % of failures...Excess heat, over working evaporator...low refrigerant level. submit model info for more help.

Freezer side is fine. Fridge side says it is at

Samsung Refrigerators came with many different features. I need to be sure yours is the model RS2630SH If so I believe that defrost comes from the main control board on yours. You need to unplug and examine the freezer compartment behind the panel covering the evaporator. Looking over the wiring diagram the control comes from main board for the defrost element/heater to melt the ice on evaporator. If the evaporator is covered in ice you will need to defrost with a hair dryer and we will need to check the defrost heater with an ohm meter to make sure its OK first. If its OK then we need to visually look over the main control board for signs of heat or burn marks on both sides with power disconnected to the refrigerator. No defrost can cause this problem and the dampers from freezer if not opening properly will cause this. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Samsung fridge rs52530bwp the fridge side will not work

I have a similar situation before in your case if your heating element is working then you are lucky I had a samsung fridge and the defrost heating element was bad and i was forced to install a different one because i would have to change the hole evaporator in order to replace the heating element so what dit was to use a mechanical 10 hour defrost timer and install a generic heating element and a defrost thermostat on serial so it want work on less the evaporator has froze over i drill a hole to the back of the fridge and i wren the cables to the back of the fridge cover then whit foil tape an take power directly from the power cord i install the timer next to the control board so every 10 hours will give power to the heating element but will not come on unless the evaporator has froze up. on my case i had to do it like that because the heating element i use was to strong for the control board and would just burn it up. but will work even better using the original heating element. NOTE: find the diagram of a old fridge that will help you to figure out how to install the timer and the defrost thermostat no need for the timer to cut off the compressor keep in mind than the defrost thermostat only close the circuit when is chill below freezing so i recommend to use a new one I hope this help you
