You probably have a loose washer in the faucet itself or a loose bib washer at the shutoff valve under your cabinet

Air lock in hot water tap in kitchen. tap was left running, how do we fix?

connect a hose from the cold tap to the hot and turn on hot tap then turn on cold tap slowly and watch for air bubbles in hot tank header if you have one, but 30 seconds should be enough. turn both taps off then try hot tap for flow, it should have cleared the air lock. You have not stated what type of system you have or if it is a pressurised system. my fix is for the old type copper cylinder and header tank system and not for a pressurised system that are mains pressure fed..

Changing hot tap washer

Hi, if you have a mains pressure HWC, all you need to do is shut the cold mains off either from your cylinder cupboard or on the street. Shutting it off on the street is probably better as things like shower valves tend to pass water through and start a back feed.

The taps for our kitchen sink are broken inside so the do not turnthe water on.

There are two ways to fix this problem. The first is the most reliable, and the easiest, but unfortunately the most expensive, and that is to call a plumber. The second way involves doing things in order : first, buy new taps, THE SAME SIZE AS THE ONES YOU HAVE, and some thread sealing tape.: second, turn off the water at the "mains" ( this is where the water enters your property, and is recognizable by a tap and a meter ) ; third: very carefully undo the cold water tap (it may take a lot of strength to undo, but BE CAREFUL) ; fourth: now wrap about three inches of the thread sealing tape around the thread of your new tap, and thread the tap onto the pipe. Tighten the thread, turn the water back on at the "mains", and turn your new tap on to make sure it works. If everything is OK , repeat the process with the hot water tap. Good luck, and please rate this reply for me.

My GWL10 fills really slowly. It starts fine with the hot water, then slows to a trickle when it switches to cold but it doesn't seem to affect it if I change the temperature selection. I normally leave it...

sounds like you have a restriction on the cold water water pipe kinked or a blockage turn off cold water and remove pipe from cold tap then turn tap on and see if water is coming through fast enough if it is then the restriction is in the hose or valve on washing machine if not then the restriction is in the cold water tap

Cold water tap not working, house heating not as strong.

Okay let's trouble shoot this problem. The Hot water issue may just be that your Temp. control is not set as high as it was before it was replaced. Find the control on the water heater and check the setting. You can adjust it hotter from there, but it is not recomended to set it all the way to HOT. Just increase it at small adjustments and see if the water gets hotter. The Cold Water Tap issue.....Turn off the Cold and Hot water supply lines to the faucet. Remove the Cold water tap. VERY SLOWLY TURN ON THE COLD WATER SUPPLY and see if you get water coming out of the line. If you get water, then your line is okay. Inspect the valve to see if there is any debris in or on it. Clean and reinstall both taps and turn back on the water. It should work. Now if you turn the water on SLOWLY when the Cold water tap is removed, and no water comes out, Then you know you have an issue with the line going to the cold water side. (Frozen Line, Debris in supply line valve, Broken or Leaking Water Line) I hope this assists you........Joe

Cold water only very slowly trickles into the washer. Hot water works fine. Cold water has very good pressure and volume at all other sources in the house. The cold water hose at back of washer is clean...

there can be 3 reasons for this I will tell u the easiest way to test this first
Problem1)turn the water off at the blue tap fitting that is proberbly under your sink take the blue pipe off at the washer end and place it into the sink turn the blue tap back on if the water comes out quick then the problem is more then likely your cold water solenoid that is either slightly blocked were it fits to the washer,But if it doesnt come out quick then the other 2 problems are as follows.
Problem2)the blue tap that u turn the cold water on to the blue pipe undue the little screw in the middle of the tap and pull the blue fitting off now with a pair of pliers turn the square metal fitting that was under the blue fitting making sure that the end of the pipe is in the sink if it comes out quick then that is the problem the blue tap fitting is rounded off when ot should be square turn the water of and replace the pipe and turn the water back on the cold water should be better now.
Problem3)the blue tap that u turn the cold water pipe of at the copper pipe is blocked or it has a broken shut off valve inside it this will need replacing these are the only problems that it could be let me know if this is any help to u peter
