You are right to be concerned regarding the green gunge as its related to legionaires desease.BUT only in extreme circumstaces will you be effected.just use a small amount of clorine bleach in the drain pan and let it evaperate as normal.to clean the coils use a microfibre venetian blind wand and hold the nozzle of the vac to draw in the dust.(i use a garden blower for mine but its in the garage.)
