Black and Decker MM525 hard wiring diagram

I have the same mower as the picture above. I removed the saftey handle and I am trying to by pass the switch (hard wire straight to a new cord I purchased. I am done with running up-stairs to flip the breaker. Can anyone tell me what wires to match up to my cord? Thanks in advance.

Did you bypass the switch? If so, how did you do it with the leads for the brake (white and red leads)? I would like to do the same.

I have the same mower and same problem. (I have already spent over $75 replacing the burned switch annually. ) The black wires carry the power. The orange wire is the common. The red and white wires are used to stop the motor quickly when the switch is released. To bypass the switch, connect the two black wires together with a wire nut. Disconnect and tape off the red and white wires. Now the mower will run whenever it is plugged in. It will take a few seconds longer for the blades to stop turning when unplugged. See this thread for a detailed discussion of the switch wiring. There is a picture of it near the bottom:

If plugging and unplugging gets too annoying, I may look for a plug-in switch I can plug between the extension cord and the mower plug. Until then, happy mowing!

A small wire, coated in red, pulled loose under the cover of my Black & Decker CMM1000 cordless lawn mower, and the mower will no longer start. I can't figure out where the wire is supposed to connect....

I have a CMM100 that is acting up. I plan to take the cover off this weekend. I can send you some pics if you want. E-mail me at stevec_junk@yahoo.com if interested. In fact, send me a picture of your removed wire (where the other end goes) and I might be able to answer you better.

I have a black & decker lawnhog mm875 lawn mower that just stopped working. the power to the mower is good. can you help

I had the same problem. Its the switch.

When you pull the plastic handle up, it pushes down a button switch located in the handle. Over time (and with use) the parts begin to wear and the handle is no longer aligned properly with the button. So, ........ when you pull the handke up the button is not pushed in far enough to start the mower.

I want to bypass the handle and hard wire the mower but I can't find a wiring diagram.

Most lawn mower mfgs offer a mulching kit which usually consists of a metal plate to block the discharge opening and a mulching blade which just has a longer sharpenned cutting edge.
With a little labor you can make your own.
