Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower with Rear Bag
I have the same mower as the picture above. I removed the saftey handle and I am trying to by pass the switch (hard wire straight to a new cord I purchased. I am done with running up-stairs to flip the breaker. Can anyone tell me what wires to match up to my cord? Thanks in advance.

I have the same mower and same problem. (I have already spent over $75 replacing the burned switch annually. ) The black wires carry the power. The orange wire is the common. The red and white wires are used to stop the motor quickly when the switch is released. To bypass the switch, connect the two black wires together with a wire nut. Disconnect and tape off the red and white wires. Now the mower will run whenever it is plugged in. It will take a few seconds longer for the blades to stop turning when unplugged. See this thread for a detailed discussion of the switch wiring. There is a picture of it near the bottom:
If plugging and unplugging gets too annoying, I may look for a plug-in switch I can plug between the extension cord and the mower plug. Until then, happy mowing!
