The battery inside a Norelco shaver is not as accessible. Norelco uses a AA battery soldered into the control board of the shaver. You can replace the battery by soldering a new one into place. If you are considering replacing the battery in your shaver instead of purchasing a new shaver, you must remove the cover as well as the shaver heads.

  • Remove the razor from the charging base or unplug the cord from the razor. Press the razor head release button under the bottom of the razor and flip open the razor head assembly.
  • Turn the black locking bracket counterclockwise. The locking bracket is around the retaining frame that secures the razor heads to the razor. Lift the locking bracket and the retaining frame off of the razor.
  • Lift each razor head out with your finger tips. Pay attention to where each head goes because when you reinstall the heads they must go back into their original holes. Flip each head over to remove the cutters from the head.
  • Remove the two Torx screws on the side of the razor with a Torx driver. Turn the razor over so that the razor head side is facing down.
  • Lift off the cover with your fingers. Some Norelco razors have two additional screws that are hidden under a rubber backing on the back of the razor. The rubber backing is glued to the shaver, requiring that the backing be pried off with a small flat-head screwdriver. These model shaver will also use four Phillips-head screwdrivers rather than two Torx screws.
This is all you have to do to access the battery and do the battery replacement.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

My 950rx/a razor has only 4 star screws on the back. Two about 3/4 the way up from the bottom and two near the bottom edge. Are these the screws I need to removed to get access to the battery? Does this razor use two 1/2 sub c cells?

Battery razor e 100 replace

Could be the battery.
Put the Scooter on a block so the rear tire is raised. Remove the standing plate to reveal the battery compartment.
Charge the Unit completely

1. Using a multimeter measure the voltage across the batteries. If the voltage is below 20 volts batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
2. Now for a running test. Turn the throttle and spin the rear tire to preform a kick start. Still measuring the voltage. If the voltage is Below 20 volts or if the voltage drops quickly batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
3. If the voltage is remaining around 24 volts for a long period - then you could have connector problems, clean and tighten all connectors.
I use a fiberglass electronic cleaning brush, as contact cleaners leave residue that interfere with electrical connections.

The control module is simple and can be replaced with only a 24 volt relay without the kick start feature or Brake. If you want the brake then you can use two 24 volt relays still no Kick Start.

For those of you who know electrical, below is circuits I developed to replace the controller. This diagram will also give you a better understanding on the Razor circuit.

NOTE : This is not a schematic diagram of the Razor E100 Control Module. I designed this circuit. for my Great Nephew's Scooter.

1. The Brake is a normally closed switch that opens when you squeeze the Brake handle.
2. The throttle is two normally open switches that close when you turn the throttle.
3. The Kick Start circuit is described in the Diagram below.
4. The resistors values may need to be tweaked for best performance.

The batteries should be 2 x 12v giving an output of 24v anything less than this the Razor Dirt Quad will not run. always make sure you buy genuine Razor replacement batteries.

To open the shaver body, you will first need to gently pry off the 'cap' on the bottom that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs in. Once removed the side grips will pull off revealing 4 screws. Remove screws to take off back cover and access insides. Inner parts simply lift out. Reassemble in reverse order
