Question about Apple Wireless Keyboard

Apple Wireless Keyboard key fell off and I need instructions as to how to put it back on. I have the key and the two white connector pieces that hold it on. The round rubber button is still intact. Can you send me any instructions? Thanks a lot.

My lenovo e530 few keys stop working due to spill

Go to Amazon.com and search for an aftermarket keyboard for you make and mdl. It would be a cheep fix (most likely under $25.00) if it doesn't come with instructions google replace keyboard and add your make and model. Most keyboards are held in by 4 or 6 screws accessed on the bottom of your computer. After you remove the screws open the computer and lift the old one carefully until you see a ribbon (flat wide wire) of cable there will be either a connector on the end that will lift out or at the computer a plastic connector attached to the computer that has a piece that will click away and the ribbon will come out. Put the new one in and put the screws back. Reboot and cross your fingers. Or you can use a USB or wireless keyboard, but that's not to portable.
Worst case get into the virtual keyboard thru access ability settings and you can use the mouse to type the letters your keyboard will not type. Good luck, Kevin

White macbook 10.5.8 pop spilled on keyboard

Ooouch ! After you've dabbed up (the spill) as much as you can, you may find some keys sticking ... i.e. when you touch (push) it (down), it doesn't pop up immediately. These are the keys you'll want to clean individually.
You can pop off the key top off (with your fingernails) from the top corner of the key. Once the key-cap top (cover) is pried open, lift the key-cap upwards and detach it from the bottom edge. You'll hear pop's when you do this. Once the key-cap is off, you'll see the mechanism under it. You'll want to clean things as best as you can ... very carefully. If the underside of the key top (cap) is sticky/dirty, rinse/wash it (with water), dry it well (before reinstalling it). Often the "stickiness" is caused by the (white translucent) plastic pieces (at the very top) not dropping flat down (immediately) after you lift it. (You wouldn't want to disassemble the parts below the (white translucent) square plastic pieces. Just clean/wipe it carefully using a cotton swab/toothpick).
You can remove the top (square plastic) pieces by pushing the tabs at the bottom corners ... downwards ... using a toothpick. This "top" square piece is actually two (square) pieces (snapped together), one inside the other. The inside piece is supposed to spin easily/quickly .... if not. it's probably sticky/dirty, rinse/wash it (with water), dry it well (before reinstalling it).
The trick is to make sure you know/remember how to reassemble the 2 pieces (after taking it apart and washing/rinsing/drying it) applying the right connection points to fit ... before you put the key-cap back on . The key-cap is put in place by just putting it in place and pressing down to snap it back on.
The larger keys (Shift, Space, etc.) has metal bars holding down the cap, etc., so it may take more effort to pop the key top (cap) off.
If you have quite a few to do, and you don't want to risk breaking anything, the Apple store is probably your next stop.

Row of characters stopped working

Sometimes the ribbon connector becomes disconnected from the connector on the motherboard. You can fix it by removing the connector inserting a slim piece of plastic and reinserting the connector.

0 and - keys fell out!!!!

hey
This could be a little difficult to explain.. coz the white ring acts as a spring and putting it back on is not hard but difficult to explain.

See first of all on an acer laptop a key has 3 components
the key
the white thing (which holds the key in place)
and a black soft thingy (which actually gets pressed wen u press a button and acts like a spring)
first of all the white ring can be removed and refixed easily .
Youll see 4 small hook like structures on the palce where key needs to be placed ... first place the white ring over there, the white ring has 2 things which come into one another. (try referring to the key where in the white ring is still in place).
now if the black spring like thingy is removed from its place, place it in the center of the ring and put the key on, try moving the key a little, if the key and white ring are put correctly, this will produce a click like sound showing the key is locked by the white ring .. if the white ring is dismantled into 2 parts it could be a little tricky to put them back on.. in that case i guess ull have to check a fixed ring and try and replicate the same for this key

Gateway notebook key fell off keyboard

Unfortunately, there is no instruction out there for this. My advice is to take one of the other key off in order to see how it fits, then put the key back on the same as the other. I suggest a key right next to the one that is off. Be very gentle and try to remove only the key, leaving the retainer.

I'm afraid that with them trying to make it as thin as possible that you may start seeing this problem all around. Not only is it a wireless computer but they should also state, "Be gentle". Haha

Situation 1. The key cap and key retainer fell off the keyboard and you cannot figure out how to assemble them back. keyboard-key-repair-1.jpg Carefully remove the cap from any other working key so the key retainer stays connected to the keyboard.
keyboard-key-repair-2.jpg Take a closer look at the key retainer, it’s connected to the keyboard at four different points.keyboard-key-repair-3.jpg Assemble the disconnected retainer the same way as one on the keyboard and put it back in place.keyboard-key-repair-4.jpg Put the key cap on the retainer and snap the cap back in place.keyboard-key-repair-5.jpg
