SOURCE: Wont Print a Large PDF File
You don't say what kind of printer or computer so it's a little hard to narrow down what is happening. That said, it sounds like you've running out of disk space while the print driver is trying to make data to send to the printer. If you can print the 1st few pages (try 4, then 3, etc.) then this is almost certainly happening.
Check how much free space is available on your hard drive.

Hello,
Your problem is caused by 2 worn photoconductor units. If you open the front door like you are changing toner, the photoconductor units will be mounted to the door that swings down. You will see should see four units one for each color, red, blue, yellow and black. If you look at the red and black units the ends will look different than the blue and yellow. The photo units have teflon coating that wears off and causes your proble. The replacement part number is C53030x and you will need 2 of them. Just replace the red and black ones and your printer will be back to normal. If you can't locate them locally, let me know and we can ship them to you.

Any marks on the paper come from the drum, this could be a circumferential scratch on the drum or a void in the wiper that clears the excess toner. Whatever, you need to check the drum and possibly need to replace it.

urm no - none of this happens when I print the same file on my HP printer.
Also the drawn objects print fine in pdf
definitely a driver issue
Exact same thing here with a C534dn...
Same problem with the Lexmark C782dn - seriously, I cannot find a solution, and there is not info anywhere on the web (after one hour searching).
hmmm..that sounds like a page formatting issue, not a printer issue.
