My dryer will not start at all, so I have read several bits of advice from different "Gurus" and I am still stratching my head trying figure out what wrong. I am not 100% sure of what I am testing. I have opened the lid and removed the front cover. The belt is ok, the blower motor seems ok, and everything is spinning like it is supposed to. I have tested what I think is the safety thermofuse, but I am not sure if I am testing the right part. Is a diagram or repair manual available? I have Crosley model # CDE6500W

Drier shuts down after several minutes, the fan and vent are free of lint. It will start right back up and run several minutes.

Kenmore is a Sears brand and there isnt too much info on the net as for tech support. Youre best option is to call sears and see if they can give you any over the phone advice, but if the timer switch is getting stuck, it sounds like it may need replacing.

I need to know what the ohms reading should be for the heating element for a kenmore elite dryer model # 110 63022101

All dryer elements should read between 10 and 15 ohms. A burnt one wil be very high in the kilo or mega Ohms, most likely open. A shorted system will read zero to half an ohm depending on your test leads and their connection and this condition will trip the circuit protection. A damaged element my read 30 to 100 depending on the severity. You figure 220 volts divided by 12.5 Ohms is abot 18 amps, which is just what household wiring like. It can take 40 but most of your circuit breakers are 20 amp slow trips. I hope this clears up the issue for you.

Benchmark VS80 Tape drive giving Bad Media messages

Sounds a bit strange - I've seen this happen when tapes are re-used in a different drive but not when re-used in the same drive. You could try degaussing (magnetically wiping) the tapes. This should effectively make them appear as new ones.
