I have the GE WBSE3120 it has stopped agitating and or spinning at al. i can definitely hear that the motor is still running, but no movement in the tub. if i put it on quick rinse or spin only, it initially pulls water out of the tub, but never moves the tub or spindle at all. Can definitely hear it though.

Here are solution to solve the problem of the washer below

If your Roper washing machine does not agitate, spin or drain, you have a problem that needs fixing. The average do-it-yourself offer can do this job without hiring the professional technician. Each problem indicates a separate repair, but while you have the washer apart, it never hurts to check things while the back is off and the parts are off the washer. exercise caution and make sure that the washer is unplugged and the water is off before you begin.
Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • Screwdriver
  • Needle-nosed pliers
  • Wire
  • Garden hose
  • Bucket
    Washer Won't Drain
  1. 1 Check the drain hose to see if anything is plugging it. Sometimes small pieces of material go out with the wash water and become lodged in the drain hose.
  2. 2 Open the access panel in the back by removing the screws and taking off the back panel. Remove the drain hose. this is usually held on with a clamp, collar or clip.
  3. 3 Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to remove the obstruction. If the material is further into the hose, you can use a sturdy piece of wire with a small hook bent at the end. Stick this into the hose to try to pull the obstruction out. If you still can't reach the obstruction, disconnect the entire hose and force the obstruction out with a water hose using the jet spray.
  4. Washer Won't Spin
  5. 1 Check the pump or pulley if your machine doesn't spin. Sometimes the pump may be frozen or stuck.
  6. 2 Remove the screws from the back access panel of the washer and remove the back panel.
  7. 3 Remove the pump from the washer by unsnapping the retainer from the pump using a screwdriver. Remove the hose clamps and disconnect the two hoses one at a time. Have a bucket handy, because the hoses may have water inside.
  8. 4 Rotate the pulley by hand. If it does not move easily, then you will need to replace this because it is frozen or stiff. Also, check the belts to make sure they have no tears or damage. While the pump is off the machine, continue to the next step to check the motor couplings. When these become bad, the washing machine will not agitate.
  9. Machine Won't Agitate or Spin
  10. 1 Remove the pump and drive motor. You will find two plastic and one rubber motor couplings. One is located on the drive motor and the other is on the gear case with the rubber coupling between them.
  11. 2 Pry or break the old couplings off with your screwdriver. Replace with new couplings. Simply push one onto the shaft of the gear case and press the second one onto the shaft of the drive motor.
  12. 3 Line up the holes of the rubber isolation coupling with the studs in the coupling. Push the rubber isolation coupling in place.
  13. 4 Push the isolation and coupling on the drive motor making sure that the holes line up with the studs on the other coupling on the gear case.
  14. 5 Reinstall the drive motor and then snap the pump in place with the retainers to hold it in place. Reconnect the hoses with the clamps and snap the.Put the washer back on and screw the back in place. Position the washer where you had it before and plug the washer in
Hope this help?

Where can I find a diagram of a ge whre5260e? I'd like to find the agitator.

When the machine agitates, it stops working. The belt has a lot of tension at this point.

stops working?? does it trip shutdown what
your info is far too sparse to make any definitive view
if the belt and rotors gears {egg gear} has failed
you would hear it grinding

so can you hear the motor running
ie youll hear the water circulation motor pump
usually one motor is used for both
if this is the case and the motor runs then its the gear system thats wrong
check the agitator motor start up capacitor hasnt failed
the info you give isnt good enough

GE Washer WJSR2080V3WW will fill, spin and drain but not agitate.

The problem is the agitator coupler (about $ 7.00) simply pull straight up on the agitator - Give it a good tug. take the one bolt holding the coupler off - pull straight off. Replace the coupler and bolt (they are sold together). Line the agitator lines up with the coupler lines - when they line up it should go all the way down and snap back into place. and your done.

Kenmore Series 80 top loading washer that doesn't spin or agitate

Unplug machine, remove water pump and motor, behind the motor is a coupler, take broken parts to your local appliance parts store. Costs 16 bucks, replace the broken parts with new ones, reassemble machine. Never ever do a blanket/comforter in your machine again!!

Drain pump starts and stops prior to final spin cycle

Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, back.
