You could fix this in the printer, but faster and easier to alter your program's printing function. Check that you are using the correct form template, and either delete one line from your data, The program may be issuing a line feed, or modify the form dimentions.
print on blank paper until you get it dialed in. Hold up to light and lay labels over or under it to see alignment

One other thing on Okidata, use 75% OEM ribbons. The OEM ribbons have print jewel lubricant and the aftermarket ones do not. If you finally need to replace the print head, get rebuilt ones, they have a lube wick that helps with this problem. When the print jewels fail, the letters get fuzzy. The print jewels locate and align the printer pins.

The template size is correct and, because it's a template It doesn't seem to make a difference if I add or delete a line.
This program ( Avery Design Pro) worked perfectly with an old Windows 95 box that finally died.
I replaced it with a newer, but still pretty old, Win XP PRO.
this is where my trouble began.

What causes intermittent skipping of labels? In the middle of a print job the printer will spew a blank label then continue on with the print job, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue.

Check your mailing list. Especially check how many invisible spaces are after a name or address. Suspect extra characters are pushing the mailing list into the next page or label and then it will print an extra blank page or label. Seen this happen when I was a Computer System Administrator and had to fix a similar fault for a client.
There is a reveal code option on most word processors that shows up hidden spaces.

What in the world!! I have the Smart Label Printer 450, it is not advancing the label, and the power button is flashing. It will not print a label at all at this point, and when it will end up printing a...

Unfortunately, this is usually an indication that the label roll in the printer are too old. This action is by design, compatible labels should have a black rectangle on the reverse side and the Smart Label printer uses the black rectangle to orient the label. This means your Smart Label doesn't think its wasting labels, it's just trying to run through what it considers to be unsuitable labels as fast as it can. If you're only printing one label at a time you can recover some labels by correctly the label's line up after each label you print but there's nothing you can do so that your printer will properly advance its current labels.

Remove the current roll, open a new boxed label roll, remove a sealed roll, cut open the sealed plastic, remove fresh label roll and load it in your Label Printer. Power the label printer back on and press the label advance button, it should correctly line up.

I want to print a label with two lines of print on it. How do I do it?

To create a two-line label 1. Type the text for the first line and press INSERT. 2. Use the arrow keys to select Second Line and press . A multiline symbol is inserted at the end of the first line, but will not print on the label. 3. Type the text for the second line.
Here's the manual, see page 12 - http://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/downloads/LetraTAG-LT100H-Manual.pdf

Why dose printer eject blank labels after every print

If pressing the FEED key advances just one label at a time then the printer works ok by itself. The printer will only do what it's told to do so so if extra labels feed at the end of printing, then you have to look at the printer driver or the label format for something adding the extra labels.

Hope that helps

Extra Long Receipts

we have Star TSP 700II and it is doing the same. not just 4inches but sometimes it adds extra 20-30 inches blank space. I think it was due to incorrect paper size settings.
Why dont you to go printer properties->Device settings and change the Friction size..as well as set Pagecut to Partial.
Also change preferences under Properties, advanced and change papersize to what suits you .
pl let me know what happens soon

Why is my Zebra printer printing every other label?

The labels you are printing have an extra line feed (a blank line) after the last printed line. Remove them.

Remove any "FormFeed" from the label run, if you are doing a "merge".

Line 1 Name
Line 2 Address
Line 3 Address2
Line 4 City St Zip
Line 5 <Blank>
Line 6 <Blank>

Ptouch 1100QL waste of tape issue

It isn't actually "before the actual letter comes out," as you said, but rather after. You have probably noticed that you must do a "feed" first or the cut won't clear the end of the label and you have to do it again. This just reflects the distance between the print head and the cutting bar.
There's no way to avoid this if you must have the one label you just printed right away and you don't have any more labels to make at the moment.
However, if you have several labels to make, you can economize by printing them one right after the other (without any "feeds" or cuts), then once you're all done, do a "feed" and cut. The labels will be close together, with little waste except at the ends, and you can cut them apart with a scissors.

Tlp 2844 printing first page ok then prints another blank

First thing to try is a reset of the printer.
1) Turn printer off.
2) Hold down feed button whilst turning printer on.
3) Let go of the feed button as soon as it starts to flash and then wait.
4) Printer will measure out 4 labels then print out a Hex dump ending with a not to "Push Feed to Exit"
5) Push feed

Follow the above instructions, if you mess around tapping the feed button (not following the above) you can change the printer between line mode and page mode. To swap that back is another storey.

I-class cutting issues

You need to calibrate the printer using the instructions located in the manual. This should be in area 5.2 of the manual. If you don't have the manual you can download them at this address along with software updates and firmware updates.

Label printers are always finicky. I have strtix printers where I work and they give off wacky errors too.
