Hey OMG_GAR,

If you've been having difficulty cleaning the LCD screen or external casing of your iPod, the primary method that manufacturers may typically recommend is to use a lint-free (microfiber) washcloth dampened with water to remove any blemishes. It is also important to wring out the cloth used so that it is only slightly damp prior to use, as excess water may cause damage to internal electrical components.

The reason why water is suggested as opposed to other commercial products is because glass/surface cleaners such as Windex or Goo Gone have been known in some instances to cause corrosion and discoloration in plastics, which would only result in further damage to your iPod.

Please keep in mind however, that some manufacturers may still provide information regarding third-party cleaning kits or solvents, but that they generally do not officially endorse or recommend them for their products...you would be using them at your own risk.

For more information, I would strongly recommend visiting Apple's technical support database. There you should be able to find several suggestions on how to clean specific iPod parts, as well as information (or warnings) about available cleaning products that Apple technicians may have had the opportunity to test themselves.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,

How can I use JVC AVX810 with Iphone? Currently IPOD works fine with the USB cable but IPHONE is not recognised. Maybe there is an adaptor that can solve it?

JVC KS-PD100 iPod Interface Adapter (257KSPD100, sold separately). This optional iPod Interface Adapter supports audio playback for the following iPod models - iPod click-wheel (3rd gen), iPod photo (4th gen), iPod mini (1st/2nd gen), iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen), iPod video (5th gen), and iPod classic (80/120/160GB). The KS-PD100 is not compatible with the iPod touch (1st/2nd/3rd gen), iPod nano (5th gen), or iPhone (2G/3G/3GS). This iPod interface will also not charge the iPod nano (4th generation). *Apple firmware updates may change functionality results.

IPod nano wont play any songs at all

I don't know if you've already done this, but this sounds to me like a software issue on the IPOD.  I also have one of these, and have had to do the following at least once due to lock up problems.  Connect the IPOD to your computer, make SURE all the music you have on the IPOD is on your computer (because your IPOD is about to be wiped clean).  Then, in ITUNES under your IPOD (whatever you named it) on the main screen should be a RESTORE function. Click on that, and follow the directions - this will wipe your IPOD clean, and restore  all factory software and settings.  Reload your music, and try it then - this usually works for me! :)
Good luck wit the IPOD! :)

Ipod nano 3rd generation and 1st generation nano

The first question I'm not sure. Is that the wireless network system that works with the wall outlets for power and networking?

The answer to the second question is No. You can only transfer playlists from ITunes into the IPod. Make sure your playlists are created in ITues before transferring.
