Question about Philips Televison & Video
This is a special symptom usually occurs with philips TVs. There is some sort of short inside your TV. It may be due to some circuit componets failure. Philips power supply systems are so designed that if any kind of short occurs inside the circuit board, the TV won't switch on. It is a protection. At the time you plug in the tv to AC the SMPS inside the TV works, detects a short and shuts down. When you switch off the set, the stored power inside the filter capacitor will be discharged through the power circuits, and a "WIZ" sound will hear. We can't predict the exact point of short in this case. It must be checked out correctly with patience. Anyway, without rectifying the short, your TV won't switch on. Please contact a service personal. Do not put it to on and off again. It may make the things more worse.
