This is a special symptom usually occurs with philips TVs. There is some sort of short inside your TV. It may be due to some circuit componets failure. Philips power supply systems are so designed that if any kind of short occurs inside the circuit board, the TV won't switch on. It is a protection. At the time you plug in the tv to AC the SMPS inside the TV works, detects a short and shuts down. When you switch off the set, the stored power inside the filter capacitor will be discharged through the power circuits, and a "WIZ" sound will hear. We can't predict the exact point of short in this case. It must be checked out correctly with patience. Anyway, without rectifying the short, your TV won't switch on. Please contact a service personal. Do not put it to on and off again. It may make the things more worse.

Internal speakers won't turn off when external audio is connected

Normally , you would expect the TV sound to stop when headphones are plugged in. Obviously not in this case. If you have a set of headphones, try them and see if the TV still has speakers on. If it does, then there may be a setting on the setup of the TV to get headphones to work. If the TV speakers stop, then I would think that the Logitech are not compatible with the TV. The only other thing would be is to get into the TV and disconnect the TV,s own speakers. If the wires are soldered on and not terminal connected, carefully cut 1 of the wires off near the speaker. If 1 wire is cut, the speaker wont work. Make sure both the TV and the additional speakers (If they have their own power supply) you are using are unplugged from the power before you go doing this...!

Technika 40-270 lost it's sound

Check the sound menu and set "Digital Output" to "Auto". Also check to make sure nothing is plugged into the headphone jack as this will cut off the internal speakers.
Try resetting the TV by unplugging it for five minutes.
Still no sound, you will have to take it in for service or contact Technika if under warranty.

Try unplugging from outlet for fifteen seconds. Press the power button for a few seconds "before" plugging back in. Now plug back into the wall outlet and try turning it on to see if this reset the TV's settings.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

Sony blinking codes

If i remember correctly ten blinks means a high voltage error.
The only thing you could try is unplugging the power cord then plug it back in and try turning on the tv. If it still won't turn on try unplugging the power cord for five hours or longer and try again. If it still won't turn on it would be best to find a local repair shop that works on sony tv's and have them repair it for you.

I've had several power cuts lately , now my tv is

Hello rogerstanila,
if you have tried unplugging it for a while and if there is still no change then it could be your main board. Unfortunately to fix this could be costly. See if you can find a repair tech that will do a diagnosis for free. But there has quite a bit of problem LG tv's being stuck on standby especially the LCD tv's, Other than this there is not much you can, maybe changing the battery of the remote and just keep trying to click on and off. If it is plugged into a cable box, try unplugging all of that for a while. Leaving it unplugged for a day won't hurt. If nothing else then it could be your main board. You could replace it but as I said before it could you couple hundred dollars. Hope this some what helps.

TV has no sound

Just a thought...does the set have a headphone jack? When you plug in most headphone jacks it disables the internal speakers. If it does have a headphone jack trying plugging in some headphones to see if you have sound there. If you do, plug/unplug it a few times...worth a shot.
