Press F8 while the laptop is booting up. You want to get to the safe mode and select safe mode. Open System Restore by clicking the Start button Hi, my laptop went through - 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking System Restore.? System Restore will allow you to roll-back the updates that are giving you trouble. Select a date before the Tuesday updates and the laptop will remove any system changes while leaving all of your personal files alone.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Checking for Windows updates results in an error message (0x8024001D)

When running Windows Update, Express or Custom, displays an error message (0x8024001D) saying "The page can not be displayed" error occurs.

The resolve is to rename the SoftwareDistribution folder:

Stop the automatics Updates Service
Go to Start>Run and type in Services.msc
Click OK or press Enter
In the right pane of the services window, right-click on Automatic Updates and then select Stop.

Navigate to C:Windows (C:WINNT if using Windows 2000) folder, locate and rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to SDOLD

Restart the Automatic Updates Service by re-opening the Service window, Right-Click on Automatic Updates and then select Start

NOTE: Renaming the SoftwareDistrbution Folder removes your current update history listing.

Internet Not Responding

Sounds like your best bet is to go back to Windows update and let them run all the way through before starting any further actions. Your daughters computer was fine because it did not require the same updates.

I was hopeing somebody could help, this morning i went onto the laptop and then restarted the laptop, when i restarted the laptop the laptop kept on rebooting its self. i first comes up with compaq logo,...

Try to start in safe mode, then change the start up options so that the computer does not reboot on error. Then you can see what the BSOD (stop error) message is and troubleshoot from there.
