Press F8 while the laptop is booting up. You want to get to the safe mode and select safe mode. Open System Restore by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking System Restore.? System Restore will allow you to roll-back the updates that are giving you trouble. Select a date before the Tuesday updates and the laptop will remove any system changes while leaving all of your personal files alone.
